Everything points to Nats for me but the MLB playoffs now are so very March Madness like since the wildcard was put in that my mind almost expects Milwaukee to pull it off.

Nats 6-9 SU and 4-11 ATS in Scherzer’s 15 starts at Nationals Park.

Brewers in 6-3 SU and 5-4 ATS in Woodruff’s 9 road starts.


Recently in September Scherzer was 5.16 ERA with 12 earned runs over18.2 innings.

Woodruff was good early in the season but only has 4 innings pitched (with 0 runs) in 4 innings since coming off DL in mid-September. Zero's a nice number but in a very small sample.

Nats bullpen had 10th lowest ERA in September.

Brewers bullpen was 7th.


Nat offense should have the edge.

I don’t understand why baseball can’t get replay right. I won’t say that this wouldn’t have happened anyway but that ball clearly hit the nub of the bat before his hand. Spend all that money on equipment and they still can’t get the call right.
