Is the outcome of the game a recruiting disaster? Or does CW turn that into a positive as proof that the Irish need to improve and "You" are the players to do it!

Unfortunately, the best recruits usually go with the winning teams..USC, Ohio State, Florida, etc. As Charlie said, there's enough blame to go around for the "loss". Michigan simply took advantage of our weakness in the defensive back area for 4 toughdowns..enough said. But, I have to wonder why the coaching staff hasn't planned some routes for Jeff S to give him an opportunity for more catches. Thought Rhema did a great job today. Brady still has a shot at the Heisman..just throw for 4-5 touchdown passses in each of the next 9 games with 400 yards each game. Otherwise, Troy Smith ends up with the Heisman and his team probably wins the National Championship. Am I down...oh yeah, big time.

We simply lost to a very solid Michigan team..... Sucks that it was at home and it wasn't close but it is better then a mid season let down loss to Purdue or the likes. We got outplayed last year at home by Michigan State and wound up having a pretty good recruiting year so let's wait to see how Charlie handles this adversity. I believe he will crack the whip and now that the heisman talk is all but gone they can concentrate on getting back to playing at a high level again. Some recruits (I said some) look at how a team handles defeat and if they can come back the next week and play at a high level. Heck, a guy like Gray probably saw the ND DB's today and figures he can start immediately.
Did you guys hear? Texas had 20 guys decommit after they were wiped off the field by Ohio State. I hear Mack Brown is taking it pretty hard!
SVO 99% of the time you are the voice of reason... Thank you...

bottom line today
1) We got our asses kicked by a better football team!
2)NO EXCUSES!
3)Recruiting just dropped out of the top ten with that "pee wee football" performance.
4)I'm not giving up on the Irish because I'm a lifelong fan. We will be just fine.
5)I wouldnt want to be a Notre Dame football player during practice this week.
Depends, if weis and staff could sell these recruits on the fact they will play early and that ND is a gateway to the NFL, it will not be a total disaster. Pretty much exactly what Jiggs said. Look at Illinois they were 0-2 after last week and tez and hughes didn't automatically drop them off their list. I expect a strong finish to the season and a strong finish to recruiting. Winning isn't everything to these guys, i would argue that hearing we can make you NFL ready is more important. Although losing to much would be bad...
Rhema McKnight? He dropped at least 3 passess at critical times and got called for holding on 4 and 3.
Agreed...You are correct sir. He was indeed bad...today. Let's hope we regroup for Sparty
While you're at it SVO try reasonsing w/ Everson Griffen, Chris Donald, Arrelious Benn
Eric Berry, Ryan Miller... cause Texas we unfortunately are not...
