Big win. Must have. Need to win all the rest though.

As happy as I am to win, many things upset me with the game.

Denbrock continuing to line up and run each play scripted he had from the same formation (bunch trips w/ 2 TEs). Shit became painful to detrimental by the end.

Having a kick off specialist and then kicking it OOB twice in a row is fucking embarrassing. We literally gave Miami every chance to start drives in good field position in the 2nd half. This was also because suddenly Jasper was only kicking it 40 yards in the air. This shit cannot happen.

Offensively we are still so predictable which crushes the run game. I can see what will be a run prior to the snap while on twelve Twisted Teas and a couple of imperial stouts; certainly our opponents are also picking up on it. I know Mike to be a someone to play to his strengths and not sugar coat but holy cow dude.

Ash, this was probably the game we could've gotten pressure without it being forced. The feel for the game seems to be lost on Chris at times.

Either way, life is good. Fuck Miami. I will always take a win.

Somebody should ask Mario Cristobal what he plans to do with the four Notre Dame jerseys his team is going home with since they held so hard the jerseys might be permanently affixed to their offensive linemens’ gloves.

Bro, you might want to check into rehab if you can compose thoughts this coherently after twelve TTs and some imperial stouts. I would be on my fucking lips

“that’s what you’re gonna get here” as he stands in front of a ACC background criticizing ACC refs lol
You are also going to be allowed to hold egregiously 8 to 10 times. That is what we get with the ACC. Also a free timeout on a ridiculously lengthy replay for something nobody thought was targeting. If anything, that should have been one 10 second look and a “nope”, on we go.

Don't be upset with Cristobal he was expecting the ACC refs to bail him out like they did against FSU and N. Carolina
Ok thanks you’re right. I feel better now! Looking forward to Sunday and putting up my huge ND flag! They earned it.

Randomly popped up Shannon Sharpe’s pod with Ocho Cinco.

They both agreed it’s not a catch. Pointed out if it was in the open field not out of bounds it wouldn’t even really be a question
I made the same argument on X. Bet if that had been in the middle of the field at the 1 yard line and was called a fumble, they would be livid

lots of thoughts but the catch/no catch discussion is genuinely making me feel insane. It wasn’t even close to a catch.

What was that first penalty call - obvious false start called a delay of game on ND? Baffling.
They essentially said that the DL shifting was “simulating a football move” and forced the Miami flinch. They’ve really cracked down on it last couple years

The view from the Miami backfield showed Ausberry calling out the shift and the DL shifting, there was no clap or anything like that, it was a normal pre-snap shift. They got it wrong imo

The biggest adjustment I see is you have to get SOMEONE to play corner besides Mark Zackery.

Probably a great kid. He just can’t be on the field. And I feel for him. If we know, he knows. He feels that. He’s living that.

Go be great at Purdue, buddy.
See if he wants to have a go at WR.

Sitting with a 8 month old girl passed out on her dad, just woke me up after about 45 minutes of sleep. I wouldn't want it any other way. This rocks

I don't think the importance of this win should be overshadowed. Absolutely pivotal, program trajectory altering kind of win. A top 10 match up that vaults us into playoff safety with a roster that has the talent necessary to win the whole thing.

There was also a big gain by Miami when Shuler was picked - literally hit by another receiver and knocked down. Blackledge said he "fell down" but that was clearly not the case. Don't see enough discussion about that play going against ND
