Thats one of the craziest things Ive seen. It looks like a scene from 2012 or something. It's unfortunate for the Minnesota organization but a pretty wild video.

Reporting from Minneapolis: The snow came down fast and hard. It was not the cutsey fluffy stuff. It was wet, heavy and dense. Eighteen inches in a short stretch. Near blizzard strength winds kept crews that would normally be hard at work clearing the snow from doing what they do. "Usual" circumstances would have been handled.

I spent close to six hours yesterday shoveling. My sidewalks, driveway and the street to free my minivan to park on the other side of the street – no picnic since that side was also buried. And multiple times digging to extricate my son's Mitsubishi Gallant from the mounds of snow it's low carriage couldn't straddle.

The video was amazing. I'm just glad that the roof of my house didn't suffer the same fate as the Metrodome.

I know, I know, I know; 17.5 inches ain't shyte compared to what other areas get, but it's exercise nonetheless.

Man, seriously, you should watch that snow shoveling--especially that wet, heavy stuff. There are too few old hippies like us left, and we don't need to lose any to keeling over from shoveling snow. Buy, beg, borrow, or steal a snow blower.

So the title of this thread is NOT in reference to the 1998 NFC Chamionship Game...

From your reporter in the field...

As I'm sure most of you know, the game is being played in Detroit (my hometown) tonight. Tickets were free to holders of the game in MN (these people receiving priority seating on the 50 yd line) and free to people holding tickets from the Lions game yesterday. The remainder (probably vast majority ~90%?), were being given away for free at the Ford Field box office this morning, max of 4 per person and would be given general admission to the game. Ford Field had to cut off the ticket giveaway 40 minutes into it because of concerns of closing in on a sell out and not knowing how many Vikes and Lions ticket holders would show.

Detroit got hit by a freezing rain & snow storm yesterday, not nearly as bad as MN but 5 - 8 inches and temps got down into the single digits last night/this morning, so people were off work & school waiting in a line at 7:00 am that went around the building down the street...for a Vikings vs Giants game in Detroit!

On a sidenote, does the extra day of rest give us proof that God is a Favre fan?

I had/have 3 tickets to the game. We were watching the weather and decided to call of our trip on Saturday night.

Ticketmaster is supposedly refuning the tickets.

I'm not driving to Detroit for damn sure.

Simple fix for the Metrodome - Rip the lid off and play football outside like real men.
