Yes, the guardian reported the opposite from one source that knew him years ago in high school. The governor's statement said that family interviews said he became more politicized recently, so that doesn't really line up with someone that hasn't spoke to him since high school. Also all of the engraving notes point to groypers.

Man, everyone STFU! As someone who has speculated a few times here (I can admit it), I can say at this point, we know nothing concrete at and EVERYONE and their brother, sister, half brother, sister-1st cousin (that's West Virginia 
) are speculating, just like DJT has been doing.
That Malaysian Hitler guy is just parroting what many others have said including the father is a retired policeman or sheriff, but BBC says Social media accounts indicate Robinson's father runs a kitchen countertop and cabinet installation business, so who knows what the truth is right now?
And so many are spouting off that he was brainwashed at his woke university (presuming Utah State Univ) but he only spent 1 semester there, dropping out; he's been attending an electrical apprenticeship program at Dixie Technical College (doesn't sound like a very woke school to me).
There is way too much disinformation out there right now so I think we all need to knock it off.
I will add that whatever they state about his background and details of gun, event, and escape, better be well substantiated so there's no room for us to think the information is being manipulated to feed a narrative.

I did see some funny but probably true to an extent commentary on twitter that boomers and gen x types were going to have a lot of trouble with this guy.
I'm inclined to think there is something to that. I'm a younger millennial and barely understand a lot of the internet culture being cited. "Oh he's definitely a groyper!" From what I've seen, it looks like the guy was VERY online. I don't think that world is easily understood, particularly by older people. There are corners of the internet that do not fit neatly into republican/democrat labels and frankly are very strange and confusing even for younger old people (like me).
