LOL at missing the entire point. Arguing for Leftist principles is bad for business. I can't wait to see CNN push progressive policies, thank goodness everyone rallied around Bernie and didn't shill for Biden to win the 2020 primaries when he was falling behind.

CNN "Alarming news about how the GOP wants a nationwide abortion ban - polling support shows that's unpopular"

IE Conservatives "WHAT THE FUCK this is censorship!!!! I can't believe CNN has gone woke!!!"

NPR needs to have a serious top-to-bottom house cleaning, and then the new crew reminded in no uncertain terms that they're a neutral news site, not a shill for the Left. Berliner wrote a piece exposing them for blatant bias in their coverage and they suspended him for it. This is American journalism these days.

He had to know that before he published his article, that making public his thoughts on his employer would likely lead to his termination. He obviously felt strongly enough that probable outcome was not as important as throwing back the curtains on the stench at NPR.

Politico realizing what many were saying from the start: this war has an inevitable outcome. Ukraine can't win even with proxy support. Their only hope is for western leaders to get serious and accept them into NATO.

While it is reasonable to adjust your position as facts change, the odds for Ukraine have always seemed low.

I think he just wanted to make sure everyone knew how batshit left-wing NPR was.

There was a lot of propaganda put out a year ago that Ukraine was dominating and Russia was on it's last legs. The talk was that Russia's experienced front line soldiers were wiped, that they were having to recruit and train up rookies to fill the ranks and it wasn't looking good. At the end of the day Ukraine doesn't have the manpower or resources to contend with Russia. They need NATO direct intervention if they're to survive. Putin demands and threats be damned, they should just extend Ukraine membership already imo. If he's stupid enough to try and launch missiles at the West I think he'll end up regretting it.

Everyone is happy to supply support initially, but when it's not your war and it starts dragging into years, the public would rather see the money spent to fix problems in their own country. Putin is counting on it with this war.

I will say this one area that some conservatives have appeared to have learned lessons from GWB with the forever wars. I think some have genuine concerns over the money being spent, but then you have people like Tucker doing puff pieces on how great Russia is which doesn't do conservatives any favors.

Yeah, he's definitely playing the long game at this point, he figures he can starve Ukraine of their backing support. I can't see him being stupid enough to challenge NATO though, so if they accepted Ukraine and brought a show of force I think he'd get the message and would retreat. As much as he would lose face by ending the war with negotiations, I don't think he could suffer a solid defeat by getting forced out as it could lead to him being ousted.

$4 million in salaries in 2010 ballooned to $100+ million since. Seems excessive for an organization that relies on unpaid users to provide all their content. I don't feel bad about not donating during their beg-a-thons anymore, massive bloat.

Absolutely brutal thread.

It wasn't a lab leak! If you think it was a lab leak you're a racist and stupid!
Really sad how the media seemed to jump all over the idea once Trump came out and said it likely came from the lab. I'm not sure why anyone would believe the bullshit China was pushing out at that time, they made a number of claims to try to lead people away from the lab. They had the World Health Organization in their back pocket, and the death numbers they were reporting were just a small fraction compared to other countries despite the fact they're the largest country in the world and they were Ground Zero. There's people involved with the lab and the cover up that have the blood of millions on their hands and they'll never face judgement.
