Facebook has removed nearly 200 social media accounts linked to white supremacy groups that planned to encourage members to attend protests over police killings of black people — in some cases with weapons, company officials said Friday.

The accounts on Facebook and Instagram were tied to the Proud Boys and the American Guard, two hate groups already banned on the platforms. Officials were already monitoring the accounts in preparation for removing them when they saw posts attempting to exploit the ongoing protests prompted by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

“We saw that these groups were planning to rally supporters and members to physically go to the protests and in some cases were preparing to go with weapons,” said Brian Fishman, Facebook’s director of counterterrorism and dangerous organizations policy.

Earlier this week, Facebook announced the removal of a “handful” of other accounts created by white supremacists who had been posing on Twitter as members of the far-left antifa movement. Facebook previously removed nearly 10 million posts for violating its hate speech policy during the first three months of this year, marking a new quarterly high for such infractions on the social network. The company said on Tuesday that the increase, a 68% gain from 5.7 million posts during the previous quarter, was due to improvements in its technology for policing the service. The company's technology can now scan posts in additional languages and is also better at detecting hate speech in English, the company said.

So NBC/MSNBC complains to Google about a Federalist article in an effort to get them shut down and demonetized (from ads).

The Federalist often times criticizes NBC/MSNBC and has called them out for dishonest reporting (MSNBC gets a "biased" rating from just about every media bias/fact check org, and also a "mixed" grade on factual reporting).

The funny part about this is that Google couldn't find anything wrong with the article itself, but still threatened to demonetize them due to the comment section. Yet, Google, who owns Youtube, allows all kinds of crazy in their comment sections where it's pretty much the wildwest.

Talk about some whiny kid running to mommy. And mommy rewarding bad behavior.

Orla, I wasn't even directing my comment to you. Sorry for the confusion.

From what I've gathered, Sinclair Broadcasting does give some "scripts" of news stories. But what was in that video wasn't even news. Like I said, it was a "marketing" spot.

Whoever put together the video would've been better off getting an actual news story that appeared to be slanted.

Go to your local hospital. Watch how easy It is to check in, and treated like an oddball.. Then sneak up (Wear a mask... by god).... and check into the beds that aren't being occupied.
Just do It for yourself.
I have been to 20-30 hospitals in my 400 mile area, and not 1 have any patients, that relate to covid19.. It's all the same old people that have been dying since the day they were born. They are just the elderly.

This thread could be summed up very quickly. ALL media is a crock of shit. Right left and in between. They take news and report it as their opinion. So then news becomes valuable. I do my very best not to watch a news. I try to read it so be cause most of the time the on tv segment and the written column is a little bit different.

I'll spark up a conversation with the ER nurse, or a security guard, In most hospitals I found that I could ask any nurse on an elevator and she will usually be very forthcoming... 99.9 % said we have none and the few that did, said they were mild and just being observed.
The people that work in any particular hospital knows their numbers. It's not some trade secret.

Most every nurse would also say "It's being over publicized", or some form of that...


I'll even tel you how I come up with the Idea. My oldest son was In a 4 wheeler accident 2 months ago. So when i first took him to the ER I asked a few nurses and they all told me the same thing.. Zero Covid.
So, when we had to go the the Orthopedic Surgeon In Parkersburg I asked a few there and same answer. Every Nurse that I asked knew what they're scenario was for that particular hospital.

I just started going around and asking other hospitals.. My son loves doing It. He's planning on doing a report for school regarding our findings... If school ever starts again..
