BK had reached his peak. He'd beat teams he should not by enough and emphatically lose to teams he should... under the lights, in primetime.

That's fine and dandy but I'd rather lose to a 12-2 inferior team every couple of years and have the roster to compete... and beat Bama, Clemson & OSU in Dec/Jan. That only can happen with Jimmy, Joe & Marcus

Ignore the fact that we already seriously outgunned OSU by every recruiting metric heading into the game.

You're on hard street drugs if you believe this. All this game did was exploit how recruiting under Kelly needs a significant uptick now under Freeman. The secondary is thin, WR is thin, the run game had issues even with Kyren due to the OL problems.

ND beat up on some garbage teams in November who were starting back up QBs. Regardless of the outcome of the Fiesta Bowl, there really isn't much that changes with the program moving forward and judging Marcus Freeman in the long haul off of this game whenever you started your tantrum of a thread is dumb.

Ty Willingham started out 8-0 at ND. How'd all that go for you?
