Last year was hardly underperforming. He won 9 games with the QBs we had last year and literally nothing at WR, which became even more telling when the QBs moved on and showed to be completely incompetent and incapable of starting at their next stops.

This year is too early to call. If they run the table and win a bowl game and finish 11-2, while not the ultimate goal would be pretty tough to call underperforming. If they lose 4-5 games them yes.
We were preseason 5

Your point?

Texas A&M was preseason ranked #6. Finished 5-7.
Oklahoma was preseason ranked #9. Finished 6-7.
Baylor was preseason ranked #10. Finished 6-7.

Half of the preseason top 20 in 2022 ended up unranked.

He fucking responded. He isn't perfect in year two. I will not fight that. But if you assholes can't see what is being built I feel sorry for you. I am three deep in old fashioneds, but even I can see that.
Just three? You gotta pump those numbers up those are rookie numbers.

I would have thought you would get it since you did 4 to 5 years playing cb in the big ten that it's really really hard to win every game that's why so few teams do it. Was 89 a failure because they got handled by Miami or 93 for the loss to be? Was that coaching?

If I've said it once, I've said it 1,000 times.

I really believe MF is going to be special. BK didn't exactly leave us stocked with talent (especially QB and WR), so I'd rather have been a few years early on MF and have him learn these first few years than have missed out on him completely.

The special coaches in ND history win championships in their third year, so we'll see what Freeman's made of next year

I was a couple pints and three drinks deep before kick off. Up your game old man.

Freeman said he challenged his coaching staff to not focus on what happened at Louisville but why it happened. They had "difficult conversations," reevaluated what they were doing in practice and ultimately simplified their approach to eliminate confusion.

93 was probably coaching for sure in that one game instance…

No doubt it’s hard to win it all, insanely hard… but this was first time in 30 years where nd could beat anyone playing normal game

11-1 this year and good chance at playoff… we would be on track if we either didn’t choke against osu or actually showed up vs Louisville… both can’t happen in a season

It sucked being at the mercy of the AP writers.

1989: ND loses head-to-head to eventual one loss NC but beats undefeated (#1) team in the Orange Bowl

1993: ND wins head-to-head to eventual NC but eventual NC beats undefeated team in the Orange Bowl

Voters got to screw ND both ways in total opposite scenarios. Should’ve had a at least a share in one of those seasons
