Football is probably helping him through some of it. My experience with losing someone is it helps you think about other things rather than just the death.

I can tell you one thing for sure, he will be dialed in tomorrow night

I'm just so sad right now...its so unexpected and it just crushes me. I'm almost crying for Teo I can't believe it!
I don't know if it was his girlfriend but she has @mteo_5 in her profile heading.

I don't know why I did it to myself, but I decided to read the comments on this article. Most were well-intentioned, but even something like this had it's share of douchebags (mostly Trojan fans) making insensitive and stupid comments about his loss.

If I ever get the urge to read comments on an ESPN article again, I will simply kick myself in the nuts instead. It will be just as painful, but take less time.

I did the same thing. That Trojan_Spear guy should fall in a ditch and die....

Fans on ESPN (not ND fans) are a bunch of A**holes, the crap they are posting just shows how some parents didnt raise their kid right at all. No Respect, i would never do anything like that even if it was a USC Player that was going thru this.

My condolences to the Te'o family. My thoughts and prayers are with them throughout this whole thing.

I honestly don't expect to see Manti on the field Saturday.

I've learned something over the past couple of months. It's probably always been in the back of my mind, but things have changed and I feel it more strongly. That is, family matters more that anything in the world. I use to put work first, but that changed after my Mom had a stroke. I thought I'd work through it, but I came to the conclusion that my family is more important than any possession.

I don't know. Maybe it has to do with getting older and figuring out what my priorities are.

Anyway, sorry for rambling.

...not rambling. I hear ya. recovering workaholic here...still am to some degree, but we all have the moment...some of us are wise enough to heed the little voice, and seek better priorities...

May God bless Manti and his family, and his girlfriend's family with peace and comfort in these hours. Prayers from my family to theirs.
