This is where I’m at. Book had his limitations but he’s operate the offense better than the others. He’s a Denbrock sort of QB too.
Jack Coan would’ve been great in, say, 2020. Maybe even better than Book, but he struggled with evading pressure and the OLine has given up a bit too much pressure in all of our losses the past couple of years.
I feel like Book gets knocked around on here but I agree that I really appreciated what he brought. Was he going to destroy teams over the top? No, But he was a good mix of Hartman and Leonard. Sneaky fast to the point where he could really hurt you with his legs, vey accurate in the short and intermediate passing game, and a good enough deep ball you at least had to respect it.
Give me this stable of backs and WRs and I think he would've done very well this year.
I don't think any of the three win us the CFP in 2024, but Book would give us a real shot at 12-0 and a playoff win or two.
I'm really, really hoping CJ Carr is the promised one who can get us over that hump.
