He banged Sheryl Crowe..... That'd be the only trophy I'd need.

" Armstrong's riveting victories, his work for cancer awareness and his gossip-page romances with rocker Sheryl Crow, fashion designer Tory Burch and actress Kate Hudson made him a figure who transcended sports."

Apparently Kate Hudson and this Tory Burch chick too.

I only know two names in the world of bicycling. If they figure out a way to defame Schwinn, I'll have nothing.

This is the same woman that got A-Rod to hit in the post season merely by dating him. Kate- we still have 2009.

Steriods or not I'm not burning my Livestrong bracelets in the near future. To date Livestrong has raised over $500M in the fight against cancer. For that- Thanks Lance!

I wonder if Lance got any behind the scenes/rest of the story/riveting anecdotes type of stuff from Kate about her mom and step dad for the filming of the cinematic masterpiece (and one of my own personal Top 5 movies) "Overboard"?

Don't forget to add Ashley Olsen to that list.

This is pathetic. ND is just making excuses. ND wouldn't need to be talking about Lance Armstrong cheating if they were winning their own Tours d'France. Winners win, period. Coach Shwinn is on the hot seat.

Travis Tygart doesn't even have the authority to strip him of any of his tours. He didn't even have the legal merit to conduct this witchhunt. The ICU does not recognize this and most think they won't.

He doesn't even have any evidence. Just a few guys who got nailed and hate Lance to all say 'yeah, he cheated'. This vs the 500 tests that he took and passed cleanly. Some of which, he took while taking his pregnant wife to the hospital to give birth.

What a turd Tygart is.

What a turd Tygart is.

I don't know what evidence he has nor how much he needs in this forum. Seems he basically keeps attacking despite the Federal investigation being dropped. "I can't get you convicted so I'll stay with innuendo. If you throw your hands in disgust or exhaustion, I'll claim victory even if I can't prove it".

Smacks of McCarthy.

I'm neither a supporter nor opponent of Armstrong but believe he has to be convicted not railroaded. The burden of proof should be on Tygart not Armstrong.

When ND was ruled guilty by the NCAA in the Dunbar Affair, the investigators did not find enough evidence to proceed, the Infractions Committee did not find enough to convict by the chairman overrode them to set an example. ND could have won an appeal but Malloy refused to appeal.

Evidence in favor of Armstrong:

1. Passed drug tests during his extraordinary run of Tour titles from 1999 to 2005.

Evidence against Armstrong:

1. Walked away from the sport in 2011 following a two-year federal criminal investigation on doping charges. He was not convicted, however.

2. USADA announced it had evidence Armstrong used banned substances and methods, and also said it had blood tests from 2009 and 2010 that were 'fully consistent' with blood doping.

3. Emails written by Armstrong's former teammate Floyd Landis, who was stripped of his 2006 Tour de France title after a positive drug test, detailing allegations of a complex doping program on the team.

4. USADA also said it had 10 former Armstrong teammates ready to testify against him. Other than suggesting they include Landis and Tyler Hamilton, both of whom have admitted to doping offenses.

Innocent or Guilty? You decide.

As for me, it's likely he did cheat. But every one else doped too. He basically cheated on a level playing field against other cheaters and came out on top.

It's not my place to decide. There are legal or adminstrative proceedings that judge that. The rules of evidence vary dramatically. I haven't seen any evidence nor have you.

Have you ever been through Arbitration?

You killed your own argument under "Evidence Against Armstrong" with your points for the defense, "He was not convicted, however."

Since when is not convicted evidence against?

Likely isn't evidence either.

You would have sent the Duke Lacrosse Team to jail. They were "likely" guilty also until the evidence and the prosecutor motive was examined.

I see what you're saying, but the fact that he walked away from the sport after being charged in a federal criminal investigation is suspicious to say the least. I also never said that his wins could be taken away legally. I just said that it's likely he cheated based on the evidence, even if said evidence is not enough to definitively convict him in court.

And based on all this stuff, it's not likely he would have won against the charges anyway.

You are, of course, entitled to your own opinion and I respect it.
