Not sure I understand your question Beau? Did they not also teach you that Truman made the Army pull back to were the current DMZ is (38th parrallel) and relieved MacArthur of his command, not letting him handle North Korea?

MacArthur didn't listen to Truman though. That's why he got relieved. His orders were to not cross the 38th unless "at the time of such operation there was no entry into North Korea by major Soviet or Chinese Communist forces, no announcements of intended entry, nor a threat to counter our operations militarily..." but Zhou made it clear that if we crossed, that China would intervene.

MacArthur pushed pretty much all the way to China and wanted to march into China, but then the Chinese hopped into the war, pushed us back behind the 38th, then we pushed them back past the 38th, and then there was a stalemate.

That's how I learned it.

This man is responsible for millions of deaths, millions of people suffering from malnutrition and disease, famine, crimes against humanity, slave labor, and regional instability. They are also selling nuclear technology to the highest bidder.

The world is a better place

If you want a mind blowing documentary, watch the Inside North Korea one on Netflix

...so by our prevailing logic...N.Korea is on the schedule for 2014...Stanford/ND...the Despite Series...

Joking...I agree, the guy was an animal...
