I'm AMAZED NO ONE has said anything regarding BIG UGLY.

Anyone who thinks that Pat Haden and Betty White (aka Tom Hammond) are biased against ND, should listen to Keith "I didn't eat enough at Thanksgiving, so I needed to put my foot in my mouth" Jackasson do a Notre Dame game. He was DOWNRIGHT GIDDY whenever ND blew a coverage (often) or when Stanford scored.

However, the most INFURIATING part of listening to him was when Stanford scored with 1:50 to go to make it 31-30 and KJ said, "THAT'S THE BALLGAME, FOKS...THAT'S THE BALLGAME"......I guess KJ didn't watch/hear about the ND/USC game this year when BQ drove us down the field to put us ahead....I wanted to jump thru the TV and strangle that BIG UGLY.

It was SOOOO SWEET to see BQ disect the Stanford D like a surgeon and know that BIG UGLY will be eating crow. Hopefully he'll REALLY RETIRE now.

Yeah, we discussed this briefly in the game thread, but the coverage was really, really awful. He made error after error on players, plays, etc... it was a sad broadcasting effort and Fouts wasn't much better.

Hell, I think I would have rather listened to Lee Corso and Mark May do play by play.

this doesn't deserve its own thread---

He said "for the win" when Stanford kicked the extra point to take the 31-30 lead.

He is Pac-10, SC all the way. For those of us here in Chicago, it sounded a lot like Harry Carey or Jack Brickhouse. Legends that are getting a bit old and therefore absent minded.

Yeah, the "for the win!" went too far!! Dan Fouts was just as bad!!

not to mention all the grandpa simpson-esque rambling, where he seemed to forget where he was going with his remarks or just stumbled through his commentary.

nd bias or not, i actually used to like the guy. now it's just an insult to viewers and kj's career...young viewers today will remember him as a bumbling idiot.

Keith Jackson's incoherent bable was amusing at first, then it got annoying, and then I felt bad for him. As big as a College football icon as he is,I feel that time has passed him by. I personally think he has always been anti Irish because of our Independance and the fact we are neither Big 10 or Pac 10 to be accurate. During the game, I was in disbelief that he was so sluggish with his play by play, and the fact he sounded like he had been hitting the sauce a little bit to be frank. Keith Jackson made John Madden's meaningless rambles seem like a PHD dissortation given by rocket scientist, really bad television...... real bad!

Good takes BestBIrish. "meaningless rambles seem like a PHD dissortation given by a rocket scientist." Hysterical!

I think that he did not know what the hell he was talking about because he is so used to covering the Southern California Pecker Protectors. He did not want ND to win nor did Fouts and they made it blatently obvious.

OH NELLY... RETIRE PLEASE!!!!

I do have to admit that Keith Jackson needs to go home and watch the sunset. I wanted to quote one of Ron Burgundy's lines and say "Keith why don't you stop talking for a while." "Maybe sit the next couple of plays out." It was awful, especially when he was talking to John Elway. It was like listening to your old senile grandpa.
