Received this update on Chris Galippo's impression of Jr Day from a fellow Irish (and Servite) alum in the Anaheim area:
"Word I got is that instead of bringing 150 kids in for junior weekend,
they brought in their top 20 or so prospects. Galippo said that people
had told him to expect the campus to blow him away, but he was blown
away by it anyway. Says the feel and mentality reminds him a lot like
Servite. The players met with Weis at least twice. Galippo said that he
also met with Polian and Minter. Very impressed by all of it. Galippo's
grandparents live in Cleveland (they apparently can't afford to move

and really want him at Notre Dame. Galippo travelled to ND with his
father and grandfather who really liked the campus and attitude of the
program.
"Obviously ND is after Clausen from Oaks Christian about 75 miles from
here. He's rated as the top QB prospect next year. Apparently Clausen
talked to the whole group a couple of times about all coming to Notre
Dame together to win a NC. He said that Weis told them they would win at
least one NC within the next three years.
"Sounds like Clausen is 80% ND. I know that Galippo was VERY impressed.
He is obviously keeping his options open and ND has not yet offered. One
of the things that said he liked a lot was that the "Mendoza School of
Business MBA is one of the best-ranked in the nation." He also likes the
fact that ND is a national school.
"Should be an interesting few years."
