We were strongly encouraged to allow ads by the new ownership so that the site can be more sustainable. I obliged.

Is it a browser setting or something I have to install on my computer? Because if it's the latter, IT won't let me put it on my work computer (which is where I'm noticing these ads*).

*Today, hasn't been bad. No relevant ads that I'd expect per my browsing, but no bewbs either.

It probably is still Google AdSense... As everybody is becoming more sensitive about their data, their ads become less and less targeted. Hence me looking at the war in Ukraine has triggered ads of me looking to meet Ukrainian women. I haven't seen those in a few weeks TBF and am mostly being remarketed by a few websites I have visited.
