Not a big fan of Gandhi or MLK, I guess. Passive resistance works.
I'm perfectly fine with MLK and Gandhi. They did it the right way. The paid agitators in MSP, though, are not engaging in passive resistance. They're actively interfering with the enforcement of the law by LE and Federal agents and assaulting those officers. That's not in any way protected by the First Amendment and is the exact opposite of passive resistance. If you don't like the laws, elect people to change them. Until then, stop making excuses for paid agitators to harass and interfere with those enforcing those laws.

You should read up on First Amendment rights. Harassing and interfering with law enforcement isn't covered and has been specifically ruled illegal. It allows citizens to film LE doing their job, but not stick cameras in their face to harass or interfere with them. It does not allow physical obstruction such as standing in their path, blocking their vehicles, obstructing them from entering a building, etc. It does not allow you to assault them nor to disobey lawful orders, nor to incite violence.
Well, either this isn't what's happening or ICE is so badly undertrained and incompetent they should be removed.

I'll make one more point about "interfering" or "obstructing" law enforcement.

If that's what's happening, why are we not seeing mass arrests of all these people interfering and obstructing on a daily basis? Why are there no convictions?

There are ~3,000 ICE agents in Minneapolis and another ~1,000 US Customs and Border agents.

Are they rendered helpless in the face of purple hairs?

Some may cross that line, and they should be dealt with due process in the spirit of accountability. Certainly, not by being put to death.

Some may teeter that line and be really annoying. It's up to law enforcement, who take an Oath to the Constitution, to respect people's rights to be really annoying. With that Oath comes great responsibility. We should expect nothing less than the very best from law enforcement. They should be the very best of us. And, when they're not, they MUST be held accountable.
It's not feasible to arrest all of them and not all of them are obstructing. Within reason, LE officials have some latitude in their duties. Like when police give a verbal warning instead of writing a ticket for speeding.

You might want to look up “passive resistance” before your all-so-typical uninformed bloviation makes an ass of you again for the umpteenth time. It is literally the peaceful refusal to cooperate with legal requirements. I’ve not seen a single instance of a protestor assaulting an ICE agent. I’ve seen two instances this month of ICE murdering protestors. And I’ve seen an administration that has almost comical difficulty admitting mistakes fire the head of this travesty, mid-operation. Because what the protestors (residents who do not welcome the brown shirts) are doing is working. Fuck ICE an FU for defending this Nazi bullshit.

Blocking LE vehicles, pelting them with snowballs, hitting them with an SUV, and otherwise interfering are not passive resistance. You should Google what that term means and covers, and more importantly, what the First Amendment covers. Just making up definitions and pretending you don't see stuff isn't a valid excuse for unlawful interference with the enforcement of the law. Sorry you don't like the law, but it doesn't excuse what the paid agitators are doing. Your anger and hyperbole and nonsense are duly noted. Go peddle crazy somewhere else.

No idea what point you're trying to make with that. What does ICE training have to do with whether the paid agitators and protestors are doing things to interfere with LE not protected by the First Amendment? I would encourage you to learn what is and isn't protected by the First Amendment. I gave you a very accurate explanation, but feel free to ask Chat GPT, Gemini, any other AI assistant, or consult an attorney. What they're doing in harassing and interfering with LE and Feds enforcing the law is 100% not protected free speech. And beside, why would you want them to interfere with them enforcing the law? Seriously? Our immigration laws were passed by democratically elected legislators and the job of LE and Federal agencies to enforce those laws. Your side has been ranting about protecting democracy. How is interfering with our laws being enforced doing that?

THIS! I work with ICE and DHS. There are a lot of people on leave due to injury. They are everyday people like you and I trying to put food on their table and trying to get home. And that’s all I should probably say.

I’m at a point that I am not sure what we are even trying to prove or disprove. If it was murder, charge them. If it was justified, move on… either way these incidents don’t really tell a story.

Are the paid agitators in the thread with us?

If organizations were paying people to go start riots it should be pretty easy for Tim Pool or some other right wing dickhead to figure out a way to get themselves paid and expose the whole charade right? Wonder why none of them have tried that.

Except that much of what they're doing isn't nonviolent. Assaulting LE, hitting them with a vehicle, throwing objects at them, shoving them, and so on isn't nonviolent. They are allowed to not cooperate. They're NOT allowed to actively interfere. Stop being intentionally obtuse and dishonest.

Maybe we could do that if they allowed the state of Minnesota to investigate. Instead they refused a court ordered search warrant. Hmmm wonder why they would do that? Wonder why they did the same thing after they murdered Good? Hmmmmmmm

They won't even tell walz the names of the officers involved or let the state conduct an investigation. They 100% should be charged with murder. Bad shoot, full stop.

I cited exactly what I meant to cite and correctly so. 1984 criticized the holding of mutually exclusive beliefs or ideas because the party told them to: knowing something, seeing it with your own two eyes, but swearing it didn't happen. That's exactly what some of the leftists in here do. They've seen video of the Good woman disobeying a direct and lawful order from an ICE agent and then striking him with her vehicle in multiple videos, and then they say it didn't happen. So yeah, they see something then swear they didn't see it because that's the party line.

I would hate to be the poor patient whose scans you're reading. The dude steps out of the way of the vehicle as he's shooting her.

At the time why would the Feds be interested in one way compliance? These are people the local police should have dusted up themselves. Leaders of the state and local law enforcement are on record with not wanting to comply or assist. Several times they were called but no bodies showed up. Compliance for thee but not for me… 🧐 If they wanted to stay out of it… then stay out of it.

Who is the one paying them? Where is the proof of them being paid? I'm going to be incredibly disappointed when it turns out to be a Whatsapp chat of people doing a potluck for supplies for the protest. Of course, this doesn't exactly square up with the traditional antisemitic trope that George Soros is controlling the media and being sneaky supporting these antifa terrorist groups.

You should look at all the videos, not just one that doesn't show anything definitive about whether he was hit. Watch this one. She absolutely 100% hit him. Period. You know it, we all know it. You just have to parrot the party line and pretend you don't see it.

My point is that I'm done with you. You say I keep talking in circles. It's because you cannot admit that you're unequivocally wrong. Repeating yourself over and over again might make you feel better, but it doesn't make you right. I have already demonstratively shown you are wrong.

I do not agree with how the law is being applied and I find a lot of it to be very much unlawful. In fact, ICE Director Todd Lyons is on the verge of being held in contempt for ICE repeatedly violating court orders.

You're in favor of federal agents raiding communities with neighborhood wide sweeps going door to door looking for non-violent members of that community and killing people who don't agree with what they're doing?

There's a word for that...

Also, DHS is quite literally paying social media personalities to spew their propaganda bullshit. So, the paid protestor schtick comes off as jealousy towards people with real life connections.

So they get to kill people without oversight. Crystal clear logic right there.

I didn't say anything about Pretti. I pointed out that the agitators and protestors have assaulted LE and ICE, hit one with a vehicle, thrown objects at them, shoved them, and otherwise harassed and interfered with them in ways that are most certainly not nonviolent. You can't defend that, and all your ranting, cursing, willful dishonesty and crazy disassociation from the truth don't change the reality of what they're doing.

That’s not even remotely my point and you know it but nice try straw man. Sadly that may be the result. You can thank Walz and everyone else for their noncompliance and unwillingness to be involved to provide that oversight, until obviously politically convenient.

They're not personal bodyguards for federal agents. That's not what they're paid to do. They're are paid to investigate when one of their citizens is murdered. That is what you're saying. You're justifying ICE/FEDs refusing to allow these murders to be investigated.

No. You said the agents are justified because they were assaulted. Show me the video of them being assaulted. You can’t. They weren’t. Which means you have no point. You are fabricating events that didn’t happen to justify things that did. You are not a serious person.
