Driving 9 hours from Omaha, Nebraska, I attended my first Notre Dame football game today and from the time I stepped on campus until the time I left the stadium, I had a huge smile on my face...I have been on cloud nine allllllllllllllllllllllll day :)

Here is what my day consisted of:

Tour of the Basilica
Bookstore (Spent a TON of money, but well worth it...)
Self-Guided campus tour (Grotto, Administration Building, and the Joyce Center
Knights of Columbus steak sandwhich (thanks for the suggestion, me and my buddies each had two!)
Had a nice moment with Touchdown Jesus (love that guy)
Went to Knute Rockne gate and got a picture with him
Entered the most storied stadium in all of college football
Found section 18, went to the fifth row, and an usher asked to see our ticket and informed us that we were actually on the field level, which ended up being 10 feet away from the back of the endzone. (I'm not going to lie, I dripped a couple tears when I got to my seats, it was pretty overwhelming, the whole experience and all...)
Watched my FIGHTIN' IRISH WHOOP UTAH 28-3 in my first ever Notre Dame football game!!!!!!!!

Nothing but great people at Notre Dame, and I plan on making AT LEAST one game per year from now on.

Thank you, thank you, thank you SO SO SO SO much for this great experience, and I cannot wait to come back for a game next year!

If you are the good luck charm this team needs, maybe we should all chip in to bring you back to every home game. Glad you had such a great day and saw such a great win.

Safe travels home.

GO IRISH!

I wish you would show some enthusiasm! and not be so blase' about your trip.
My first visit was in 1951 and I feel the same way when I return each time (even though I am an alumnus).
I can't really explain it, and my wife doesn't understand it, but both my daughter and son-in-law do as they are graduates.
GO IRISH!

This was my second time I have been to the campus (the first was for the Notre Dame vs. Nebraska-Omaha hockey series about four years ago) and I didn't realize it until today that this place is incredibly special. It was very emotional for me, and I am very grateful for the opportunity I had today, and I am very glad I was able to see a huge win for this team, program, and school as it has been a tough season for all, but after this game, things might just be looking up for our Irish.

Must have been a great experience. I've only been to a couple of spring games and it was still awe-inspiring. I'll attend a game before I die.
