To be fair to the guy it was raining and that is a bumpy part of the field (Reggie Bush's Heisman is buried there somewhere) so he probably had trouble keeping his eye on the ball.
No Bush's Heisman is on the other side of the field. He tripped on OJ's glove. I can't believe you missed that.To be fair to the guy it was raining and that is a bumpy part of the field (Reggie Bush's Heisman is buried there somewhere) so he probably had trouble keeping his eye on the ball.
I'm happy we got a victory, and that kid will be in the NFL, glad he dropped the ball.
Coach Lane Kiffin wasn't particularly merciful toward Johnson in his postgame assessment. There seems to be a lot of that going around in college football these days. California coach Jeff Tedford blamed his kicker when his team lost to Oregon by two points a few weeks ago. It's shameful behavior, the opposite of leadership.
"I was shocked," Kiffin said. "It was something we worked on for that coverage. It's just a shame, because now you've got a whole locker room and the whole Trojan family all down in the tank at one play that completely changes the whole outcome."
Per ESPN: USC Trojans still can't find a way to finish it in loss to Notre Dame - ESPN Los Angeles
Outrageous. Can't believe Kiffin would throw his own guy under the bus like that.

Lots of support for him on USC forum.
Stay classy SC . . .
I detect sarcasm.
I saw him being called a whole number of awful things, along with cries to bench him next week against UCLA.
I've seen a couple times on this board that we 'owe the win' to this kid and he's 'the best player on our team.'
Some people need to get a grip. Our D played with BALLS all day long and made up for the 4 count them 4 turnovers we gave up. One lame *** drop no matter when it was shouldn't discount the way our D played all day long.
BALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It actually makes me feel bad for Ronald. I mean to have to put up with that bleep bleep plus all the blame hes feeling himself, thats just outrageous. Thats the kind of crap that makes young kids do stupid things.
If I was Pat Haden I'd fine Lame for a comment like that. Thats unacceptable for a head coach. (Though expect of Kriffen)

Pat Haden defended Kiffen during his sideline interview. It sounded very well rehearsed
