I really don't like the buckeyes, but I live in Ohio and take a lot of crap from bucknuts. I think the idiot quotient runs higher among their fan base than most. Even one of my best friends, and OSU alumnus agrees with that. So it will be hard for me to root for the buckeyes. My wife refuses to. Her bosses are both buckeye fans are are obnoxious. But I can't stand the thought of urbie beating Charlie to the promised land. And I don't think Florida is in OSU's class right now.

As much as I dislike Ohio St., I have to admit they are on top for a reason. They are talented and well coached.

buckslife, this is a good board. As long as you're not a mud slinger, you'll be OK here. Feel free to defend your team, but keep in mind that this is a Notre Dame board. You'll probably not sway many people here. Just like we probably won't sway you.

However, you will find that almost all of us dislike Florida and their silly spread-option running, dual-quarterback using, ND-shunning coach even more. And the funny thing is, NONE of our options were EVER appealing. SCum, scUM, tOSU, U(rban)F(reaking) cryer. There was absolutely no way we could be ever happy with the NC unless by some miracle Arkansas won it. cough cough, right. Anyway, at least we can still win our game and shut some people up. Their team speed is the only concern, the Percy Harvin kid is a speedster on the offensive side of the ball, however, with Tressel you always expect a good game plan to expose weaknesses (see the michigan game) but in the end I think Chris Leak will implode much like he tried to do against Arkansas Saturday night...

I think Florida is the easier road to the Championship, however, with USC it would be a better game to watch, and with their old Rose Bowl games back in the 70's it would have been nice to renew that "rivalry" I guess you could call it.

Does Urban realize how much damage it will do to the SEC if the Gators get pounded? All of his rhetoric about deserving a title shot because they had to play the "toughest schedule in the country"-an SEC schedule against LSU, Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia(?), Bama(?), South Carolina(?) and Kentucky(??) will embarrass the entire conference if they get smoked. If tOSU beats down UF, will the SEC STILL be considered THE powerhouse conference? I guess it depends on how the other teams do as well. Dear God, if tOSU and ND BOTH win, what will come of the SEC?
