Glad to see my hometown boy Newman gettin' some love. He really is a great kid, great attitude as well. His team wasn't the strongest this year, so opponents focused on him, double and triple teaming him. He still had solid numbers. I admit, KY isn't a stonghold of talent, so I never knew how he'd fare against the best. Glad to see he's holding his own in AAA camp.
He takes things seriously, especially education. He had a lot of pressure to go to UK for different reasons, but was steadfast with ND. When he visited UofL, they tried the Pete Carroll aproach, and let BN have fun more than anything. He got to play WR in scrimmages, prolly more than his own position. He never said it, but I don't think that approach agreed with him. He never visited again, and he only lives a few minutes away. I can't predict success for Brandon because there are too many variables. But I can say that Brandon truly is a ND guy.
