How does everyone think we'll finish the class?

Realistically, how do you think we will finish the class? I can see us getting the Armsteads, Poole, and Neal, which, coupled with our current class would be an incredible way to close. I just can't see us getting Agholor, and I'm very hopeful with Darby since Kelly still has an in-home but right now it isn't looking to great.

I agree, and I'd be absolutely delighted with those four.

Hard to tell because Arik/Armond were stone cold locks for ND until Armond wasn't cleared... and it's very hard to tell if him not getting cleared will have a big effect on how Arik views ND in the coming weeks and if we will still be a serious player... and on the flip side some people say Armond might still get cleared which would go hugely in our favor.

Expect our staff to try really, really hard to land another CB before NSD. I also expect them to land Ekanem if they want him... some ND sources suggest that our staff might not still be recruiting him hard, but if they are I expect us to land him.

So best guess right now are Standifer + Ekanem and then maybe no one else... if we land someone else we'll take up to 3 (most likely no more than 2) from the pool of Arik/Armond/Brian Poole/Darby/Redmond/Agholor/Yuri Wright/Neal/etc. No way to predict on these guys and some (like Agholor) are huge longshots.

IMO i thik the Armsteads are out. I know there is still time but i think with them prolonging the decision they won't be here. Which scuks be cause they would be a great fir here.

While i think them prolonging the decision didnt help, it's understandable that they want the entire process to slow down. I couldn't imagine all the stress right now. But if there's anything I learned about this staff in the last two years, it's that you should never count them out on anyone, regardless of if they're committed, or even enrolled at another school.

I think our best shot is Standifer. Heard the staff has cooled on Ekanem, but we will see if he visits. Gunner helped us a ton with Neal and Algohor. I think we still have a good shot at Darby and all depends with Kelly's visit.

How is that?

I think the more time an SEC team like Auburn has to convince these guys, the less likely they will come to ND. Iif we get any more of our prospective commits between now and when Arik said he will decide (February 1st?), that will be hugely beneficial, but with any SEC team pulling their strings, we have less of a chance. Also wouldn't USC be more likely to release Armond if he decides to go to Auburn?

But i find it hard to believe that any school is going to clear Armond. There is a reason that ND and USC wouldn't clear him.

Quick question...sorry been staying away from recruiting for a day or two since Gunner signed and Armsteads announced a delay...do we know FOR SURE that Armond has not been cleared?

I would be content with ending the class with Standifer and Neal. Wish we had 3 OL in this class, but because of the numbers last year and the versatility of Tony Springman, Jarron Jones, etc I am not too worried. Just have to land three more besides Elmer in 2013 now (who is a great, great start).

Armond has not been medically cleared yet

So unlike USC who WILL NOT clear him...ND hasn't come to a conclusion yet right? So is that a big reason for the delay? If so, and if they do clear him I think ND takes 'em.

Yeah... I don't think we get either.

There are serious questions about Armond's health, and ND does not need to take a risk.

We'll see how it shakes out in a week or two

I think Standifer committs which helps our depth at db. I think our best shot with one of the elite left is Darby. I think we do have a good shot to get him back on board. With that said I would say Neal is a close second with OSU being our toughest competition.
I could see Ekanem commiting, but I don't know where he stands with our staff after a serious injury.

If there are such serious concerns with Armond's health, to the point that at least two major university doctors will not clear him, what makes him think an NFL doctor will clear him?
