I know it means ND loses, but the twisted side of me is hoping USC goes undefeated the next 2 years and then sits in January.

Nah, I want them to suffer and lose recruits etc
Funny how Pete Carroll jumps ship right before it blows up

thats just dumb.
not only for the fact that it would mean us losing.
if they can win a bunch of games over the next 2 years they can halfway avert the loss of scholarships, because they will be able to bring in some recruits.
plus the fact we dont want to give condoms an excuse of a NC.if they go undefeated, but arent allowed in the postseason, you know they will always claim a NC,as dumb as that sounds, thats how retarded they are.

they can go 11-1 with a loss to us and be in the top ten and then sit and watch someone else go to the rose bowl

From a our prospective an 11-1 Southern Cal season with the lone loss to ND would probably be most bitter for them (and sweet for us) if it was by a single point on a FG made as the gun went off or a Trojan FG was blocked or wide as time expired (or Cierre Wood pushed Crist into the end zone after time expired following ND getting a rediculous spot on a ball fumbled out of bounds). I rather beat them by a single point than 40. "What a shame Trojans fans without that last play you'd be undefeated and #1. Ain't that a shame?"

Southern Cal can't finish in the Top 10 as the Coaches Poll forbids coaches from voting for teams on probation/suspension. Back in 1993 first year coach Terry Bowden took Auburn to an 11-0 season but Auburn did not play in a bowl, was not awarded even an SEC Division Title, not allowed to play in the SEC Championship, nor do they appear in the Coaches Poll. If I recall correctly Auburn was under suspension that year was for former Head Coach Pat Dye arranging a loan for DB Eric Ramsey and Auburn paying players. There were also racial allegations as Auburn segregated the athlets by race in the athletic dorms and discourage inter-racial dating. Pat Dye lost his job as head coach but was rehired by Auburn as a Special Assistant to the President. (So much for institutional control. Auburn's been on NCAA probation 6 times.)

I don't know the Harris Poll policy on voting for teams on probation. I believe all the computer services that are part of the BCS do include teams on probation in their calculations. Even if the BCS allowed teams on probation in their ranking getting zero points in the Coaches Poll would preclude a shot at the NC title game - on paper. Stealing the Trojans argument that they should be the champs with an 12-0 season.

I'd rather see their program crash and burn.

If they struggle, their bandwagon fans will disperse and find something else to do each fall until they find relevance again.
