brady came in 3rd???????????????????????? what?

Yep, more bullshit at the hands of the anti-ND movement in the media. The Heisman should be put up for naming rights. The ESPN-Heisman Memorial Throphy would be about right.

That's ok BQ is the best player out there and a great person. Here he comes NFL, take care of him!

I'm somewhat glad he finished 3rd... 'sorta proves how goddamn ridiculous the whole thing is anymore...

The golden boy finished 3rd??? With all that media bias that ND gets handed on everything??? that's weird, isn't it?

I thought Brady would get second too but second or third it doesnt matter. All that matters is 1st place.

Guys does it really matter? The last time I checked, the trophy for the alternates is in the ladies room.

Look on the bright side. By Troy getting the Heisman, at least there's gonna be 1 more person representing the 2000's heisman winners every year!

ooooooooooooooo burrrrrnnnn:onfire:

Smith and McFadden are outstanding, but not more important to their teams than BQ. The Heisman is pretty much a meaningless award. BQ is an outstanding QB and kid, and we've been privledged to have him. He will get his payday in the NFL.

I like McFadden, he seems like a good guy. If Quinn had to lose to one of them (and obviously, in the end, it was both), I'd much prefer McFadden.

FWIW, he and Brady seemed to get along pretty well.

Yea I'm just a little steamed that Brady didn't at least get second. I really don't have anything against McFadden.

I don't recall McFadden ever getting involved in some misdemeanors or taking money, ala Troy Smith...crock of crap...

No No No there's two O's in Goose boys!! Geez, I crack myself up! I was busy doing alumnus advisor stuff for initiation tonight, and forgot to DVR the Heisman. Did anyone get it, and can they send it to me? Quinn is a class act, no matter what anyone else says!

The Heisman has become meaningless. Before Charlie Ward the QB on the #1 team NEVER got the Heisman (happened only twice). Because a QB on the best team is going to look like a genius no matter what...

The whole Heisman has LOST ALL MEANING.

I was shocked to see BQ in 3rd place, but the way I see it the Heisman is pretty meaningless now a days. Smith will just add to the long line of Heisman winners who fail at the next level. Atleast we get good publicity by having BQ and ND show the world that it can still be done the right way. Those degrees at places like OSU are given away like candy as soon as you sign a letter of intent. What gets me is that it sends the message that you can take money from a booster and say I'm sorry and all is forgiven. I have great respect for Bob Stoops who told his one and only Qb to take a hike for taking money.

The way I say it is that Brady can use this disrespect as motivation and make the voters look foolish by lighting up the LSU defense.

Brady Quinn...wow, after watching the piece on him prior to the announcement I came away with a newfound respect for that guy...double major, law school, 3.5 years?? I mean come on, you can just tell he gives off such a vibe its hard to not like the kid and follow him...McFadden looked like a little kid going around NYC, good to see him like that, such a big dude and looking so much like a kid....congrats to the ND community, you have a ton to be proud of with Quinn, class act!!!

Yeah, Brady and his family got third place because they did it right. Brady has worked harder than Smith and McFadden and graduated with a double major in 3 1/2 years. McFadden said "We ain't got no buildings that big in Arkansas" and in the 15 minute Smith show all they talked about was how Smith had overcome such adversities in the streets of Cleveland. Did they even mention his academics? They just penalized Brady Quinn for doing it the way you should do it, by working hard on and off the football field. Was it Brady's fault that the ND defense wasn't as good as OSU's? Look at the stats too. That shows the control ESPN has over college football. We'll see what happens between the two careers of Brady Quinn and Troy Smith in the near future.
