Happy Easter everyone.

Really pleased to see something this week at my hometown basilica. Every service has had 5-10 altar servers. When I was growing up, there were maybe six or seven of us in total to cover every Mass (four every weekend), so had to do it virtually every week.

Edit: the local Catholic school also reopened it's middle school and is planning on reopening the high school.

Lots of Baptists and Lutherans in town are very worried the about the public school struggling to compete (in sports) if that happens.

I love when the Lutherans cry about being unable to compete with Catholic High Schools in sports

"BuT tHeY rEcRUit!!!"

As if 95% of the competitive public high schools aren't doing the exact same thing.

Christ has died.
Christ is Risen.
Christ will come again.

I attended Palm Sunday mass last week and sunrise Easter mass this morning after being away from the Church for about 6 years or so. I've long had a tenuous relationship with her, and I can't promise that I will be a good boy now and come to heel, but it felt good, it felt right.

Here there isn't recruiting in any meaningful sense. Our communities are too spread out. Our closest conference opponent is 90 miles away. Our closest non-conference opponent is also 90 miles away.

I've read some horror stories about the big states/cities though. Crazy to read about.
