EG - next 2 years
GK- 2 after that

Whats the problem again?

Based on Golson's size, "nobody" predicts he would get a high enough draft grade to leave early. Leaving Kiel with only one year to play, and "nobody" thinks Kiel would stay here to only play one year.

Everett is going to keep getting better and better [especially on ball-security while running, and long ball accuracy], I think that everyone, including Coach, thinks that. But if he does indeed start for the rest of his career, we will be looking at a "scramble-and/or-roll" type offense develop. I have seen Everett NOT be able to assess the entire "180" viewing area in front of him MANY times in every game. None of us want to believe that his height matters; in that we are in denial. [At a somewhat significant moment in a drive last game, Davaris Daniels started from the left and arced wide open at about "11 o'clock" or even a little further. Just at that moment, Watt and Cave, I believe, had to alter the position of their stuffed D-Linemen wall slightly. The re-positioning was diabolically directly in Everett's line-of-sight. Daniels was wide open, maybe even for a touchdown YAC. Everett never had a clue where he was nor any defender in that area. Just one example of something which could be multiplied].

Can he overcome that? Well, yes, by rolling and scrambling. But we will not be a "stand-and-deliver" quick dart-throwing offense like Kelly would prefer on any consistent basis, and many open receivers will be missed. No one can say with confidence much about Gunner's ability to command an offense at the college level. All we can say is that he meets the eye test and is plenty tall enough to not have that particular problem. It is entirely around this issue [how much does Everett's height cause him to miss receivers and bend Coach's offense out of shape] that the future of Gunner's playing time revolves. And this is what I, and I'll bet Kelly, am looking at most in the final 2012 games.

EG's playmaking ability is mind boggling. Just look at those plays where he uses his feet in the pocket and has made huge completions, Goodman against MSU and Daniels against Pitt. EG is a player and will only get better as he matures and learns more about Kellys system

Kelly will go with whomever gives us the best possible chance to win and if that's a two QB system he will go that direction. EG obviously has a leg up on GK with the experience he is getting this year, but he has a long way to go on progressing thru his reads. That is one of GK's strength's coming out of HS. That to me will be the deciding factor next year.
