Apparently there hasn't been an official diagnosis yet according to Matt Fortuna of ESPN. He just talked to Jonas's mother about it. Looked bad, but lets hope he's okay. I know I just strained my ACL once and I could barely even walk for a couple days so there could be some hope.

Kelly just gave an update. MRI tomorrow. His knee is immobilized for the time being.

Could he play if its partially torn? Or is that too dangerous

How could it be more dangerous??? If it's torn, it's torn. Not much more you can do to it. The real question would be, how effective would he be in cutting and doing the basic things which are required to play RB at the D1 level.

Hopefully, it's just sprained.
That would allow him to prep for the combine and hopefully, get drafted.
If it's torn, we're talking about a 8-12 month recovery and he's a camp body in 13.
This could ruin his career.
Luckily, he chose Notre Dame and will have a degree and solid future.

There's no such thing as a 'strain/sprain.' It just depends on how badly he tore it. Either way, he will not be able to play the rest of the year if it's an ACL injury.

You think you're so smart, don't you? An ACL 'sprain' is what doctors tell patients, but it just means it was a small tear. If it's serious, then they'll tell you that you tore it. If it were a truly a 'sprain,' then Jonas would not be on the sideline crying; he'd be back on the field during the next series because it's hardly an injury. But go ahead and cite bull **** internet sites like a jack ***.

It looked pretty wicked.

put that along with the fact that from what ive gathered from people's talk and the final score makes me not wanna watch a replay. I really hope he's ok not just becaus eim an ND fan but because of how horrible this injury is.

Well this seems like a fairly incendiary post.

If a team doc even mentioned the ACL, I'd be cautious as heck, too.

HCTI has been on my nerves for a while now with his stupid posts citing Tommy's record in huge bold font (watch, he'll do it again replying to one of my posts).

There are simple, very effective field tests that you can do to test the integrity of the ACL. It's quite effective, and the MRI will be used only to confirm the diagnosis of a torn ACL.

Feel horrible for the kid. He worked hard to bounce back this year, showed what he could do and most likely had put himself in a position to get drafted. If he works hard he should still get a shot. If the NFL doesn't work out for him... he will still have a degree from ND.

Even if he doesnt get drafted bc of this, its not the end of his career. I think it is better to be a free agent and be able to pick a good situation than be drafted in the 6th or 7th round. The kid is a baller. He is big and fast. He can overcome this.

You and I both know that your intentions weren't so innocent.

Huh??? There seemed to be some question amongst others so I posted a link. Seriously? This is how you act after a win? Seems me someone needs to do some serious growing up.

You have much better job security if you're drafted.

You posted a link replying specifically to my post, trying to provide a dumb website that appeared to dispute what I was saying. Anyone could see what you were trying to do.
