1. Al Golden’s guys show up every week. Run defense continues to improve weekly. Even without Ben Mo, the team didn’t miss a step against what is a pretty legit offensive team. And that’s like the 4th major injury the defense has had. Just unbelievable consistency.

2. Our RBs are so good and Love in particular looks like a 1st round draft pick to me. Our OL is the only thing holding our running game back from being truly elite but they’ve had so many injuries it’s hard to expect the world.

3. The passing game has virtually no ability to pick up a “3rd and 8” style 1st down. At some, that will be why ND loses their next game.

4. Big balls on those special teams fakes.

I thought Leonard was excellent in the second and third quarter and then he reverted big time in the fourth. I’d say he’s still progressing while accepting that he simply has limitations that will always hold the offense back.

Every freshman and sophomore that’s been getting in the game on defense feels like a day 1 or 2 pick in the draft. These guys are constantly making plays and flying around the field.

Of all the games ND has played this year, I thought this was the best coached top to bottom. Denbrock had a few weak points but it’s hard to be overly critical of the offense when you have a drive stopper in Leonard and an offensive line that occasionally forgets to block.

respect to this GT QB.

We play offense in a 20 yard box. Which is fine against most teams. Eventually however, we’ll need to go down field. But we can’t.

Denbrock tried once and threw a pick. Then we got back within that box and was fine vs GT.

Defense is crazy good.

1. I can't work out what happened to the offense as Leonard was doing pretty well.
2. It great to see Howard and Mills getting back to their best.
3. Special teams were great.
34. Lets go.

Enjoy the win. One step closer. But…

This.

It “worked” enough against DFEI’s 79th ranked defense today.

114th, 63rd, 45th, 82nd, and 79th

The above are the DFEI rankings of the defenses we’ve faced since the NIU loss.

Offense was stalling toward the end. Played 2 quarters of efficient offense then Riley got inconsistent.

Great defensive game

I trust this defense against the service academies. We are fast and big, and even though our defensive ends can't pass rush they are fine at sealing the edge. I'm a little worried about our offense against a disciplined team though.

Shouldn’t even be a problem. We’re bigger, faster, and stronger at every position
If we had struggled with Ga. Tech I'd be more worried about Navy. They play similar games but Ga. Tech has better athletes, especially on defense. Not to take Navy for granted, I've seen too much shit for that, but if we play next week like we played today we'll be fine.

If the defense can prevent sustained drives, ND should be fine. If they let Navy grind the clock and the offense has too many stalled possessions, it could be trouble.

No, they just needed something to talk about. I guarantee the biggest brand in college football is not getting fucked over for LSU or Ole Miss.

I am a little worried about Bama with a win over Georgia, but I don't think it will be the difference between out and in. Indiana is the team that is going to get fucked over sadly.

If we could somehow get the 2nd/3rd quarter Leonard consistently this team could go places
I feel that once we get a couple possession lead we go straight up conservative. There were some beautiful play calls then it just bogged down
