Mine get up put on ND shirt or jersey. Take ND flag put it in holder on garage. If I have to go to the store ND marching band cd goes in player. When watching game must drink out of ND mug or glass. If someone calls ignore them, its usually friends that are U of M or MSU fans. Sometimes during game light candles, my own grotto. I like to think that when we win I had something to do with it, ha ha. Win or lose if I go out after game ND shirt or jacket must be worn. How about you guys? Cant wait till sep. 4 GO IRISH

+1 to this

I always watch Rudy the night before the game. Plus I watch college gameday every Saturday and enjoy some other games.

1. Wake up and put on ND jersey or shirt.
2. Watch College Gameday.
3. Disagree with all of Lee Corso's picks.
4. Watch a 12:00 game (ND usually plays at 3:30 here on the east coast).
5. Then I watch the greatest team in the history of teams.

I watch Rudy the night before the first game, but not every Friday.

Get nervous....lol. Seriously this last year no ritual seemed to work so i just got nervous sometimes got so nervous i would only follow the game via posts on here. In 07 I would sometimes not watch the games because i was already stressed enough from my first semester in college I chose not to add to the stress. In 06 I would wear an ND shirt to the saturday team meeting for my high school team and once our season ended I would go to a local diner and eat "hangover remedy" food from a local diner because of what i did the night before then ever week thereafter except after the USC game go out and celebrate another Irish victory.....good times I miss them

Just getting outta bed in time for opening kickoff is ritual enough! Although I usually make my way to the corner store for coffee, and the papers while wearing a home/away jersey depending on where they are playing.

normally i can't sleep the night before so i drink til i fall asleep, which normally isn't until like 1-2am, but then i wake up at like 6-7 and just look at the ceiling thinking of how i want the game to go. then i'll get up watch some highlight videos online, if i was in South Bend i would get the Tribune and read there gameday section a few times. then watch ESPN Gameday, just to pass the time. to calm my nerves (like i'm actually in the game or something) but i go out to eat, where ever they have tv's more than likely some wings place..... then when the game starts i get in full game mode and just stay focused, with whatever ND shirt on that i have. oh and more than likely i do a pregame scream just to release some of the built up anticipation

I usually watch college gameday, wear one of my 3-4 ND Jerseys until the 3rd quarter. Curse at Weis, throw the Jersey, vow to not watch next week......It will be different from now on. I believe!

I'm usually always in Irish gear on Saturday. One thing I do do is play "Here comes the Irish" sometime before the game starts. Causes the Irish blood to start pumping!

I feel that I didn't do my part. Now it will haunt me. If I think of the 3rd down conversions last year by opponents. Maybe, I should have turned up my TV as well. Damn. :)

Seriously, everyone that knows me knows that I am off the grid during the game. I put on my ND T-shirt, my ND ball cap, get coffee in my ND mug. When the ganme starts, I am up watching it on the big screen about 3 feet in front of it, pacing back and forth. I can't sit down until halftime. Then when the 2nd half starts, I am back up.

Yup.

The last few years, when I don't go to a buddy's house to watch...I've started using the first half as a work-out. 10 push-ups for every first down we give up, 25 for every FG, and 50 (plus 50 crucnhes) for every TD. Long gains...I do a sit-up for every yard. No lie, I'll get upwards of 400 pushups and 400 crunches easily, if not more, by half-time. It gives me something to do besides kick and scream at the TV.

Then in the 2nd half, I drink heavily.

*** Note...this only happens towards the middle of the season, when I have lost hope of being a good team. When the Irish are rolling, which I fully expect in the BK era, I'm all business. Beer during the game...hard liquor for the celebration after the victory!

Go to home depot after the game and buy supplies to fix any damage that has been made to a chair or lamp that may get in the way my path. No jersey, no beer jacket, no ND tee, nothing to resemble ND so that I can avoid any public humiliation while getting these supplies.

Friday night:

I will watch an inspirational sports movie. More often than not, it is Rudy, but sometimes as a change of pace, I will put on Hoosiers, Miracle, Remember the Titans, The Rookie or something like that.

I will start drinking - usually an Irish Pudding - shot of SoCo and shot of Drambuie poured in a pint glass of Guinness. Get online and start chatting with my IE brethren (NDinL.A. - can't wait for Frideay September 3rd!) and watch Irish highlights and pump up videos on Youtube.

Saturday:

Get up, put on Irish gear, turn on Gameday and start making breakfast for my wife. While breakfast is cooking, mix homemade bloody mary's (mix is premade several days before). Eat breakfast and start making tailgate food while humming the fight song almost constantly. Every time the phone rings, I answer it with a "Go Irish!!!" Kickoff starts a non-stop booze and food fest.

I ALWAYS put on an Irish t-shirt (short sleeve the first half of the season, long sleeve the second half), with my #3 home jersey over top, ND socks, and hat. watch college gameday and usually one of the 12/noon games. then from the time ND kicks off until the game is over, don't bother me 'cause I won't answer you anyway. if ND wins, I'm the nicest guy you'll meet, but if they lose, don't talk to me for at least an hour after the game.

GO IRISH!!!!

Always starts the same, college gameday and hangover cure food....Plan of attack for the KU and Irish games, if I am at one or the other, receive texts or listen to other if on at the same time. Watch both games while drinking many busch lights/guiness', two wins are followed by many more beers and partying w/ wife/friends, a split equals a beer/booze combo and a constant up/down cycle of happiness and anger, two losses equals me in my underwear jameson/water in hand on my couch answering my cell phone saying, "I know it's just a game, involving teams I don't play for, but I am not going out." In all seriousness during the "bush-push" game (cocksucker), I was at home watching it w/ just my wife, not even my fellow psycho bro came over. About half way through the first quarter she comes in and asks me if I am alright, and I was like ya babe I'm cool, we came to play, I look up at her and she is staring in disbelief at our living room table that has 6 empty beer cans and an opened one sitting on a coaster, my dog is hiding behind her and looking at me between her legs....I told her I was sorry and I would tone it down, after they converted that miracle 4th down pass to get down close, I think she was pretty sure I was going to commit suicide by consumption, I don't really remember what happened after that.....god I can't wait until September!

Monday - Friday I try to gather as much publicly-available electronic data as I can regarding that week's opponent, strengths, weaknesses, victories, coaching tendencies and best players.

On Saturday, I don't wear any merchandise. I watch College Gameday, disagree with Mark May, and set the DVR.

During the game I rewind and watch critical possessions during commercials and half time. In particular, I always watch the first 10 Irish plays to see what script the coach is running.

If they win, I re-watch the important scoring drives on Sunday.

If they lose, I blame either the refs, coaches or players, or some combination. I also tell myself that line from Bronx Tale that "they don't give a shit about you, so why would you care about them?" It makes losing a lot more tolerable, I have found.

Upon the 2nd or 3rd loss of the season, I start researching next year, which then becomes my nearest hope for a National Championship.

LMAO. I do the same thing, only i have gotten into the habit of changing jerseys at half time as if that is going to make ND play better.
