Number's assigned to EE's, according to poster on ISD:

#1 Ishaq Williams
#5 Everett Golson
#19 Aaron Lynch
#27 Kyle Brindza
#56 Brad Carrico

During Kelly and Denbrock's visit with the Atkinson household, they discussed numbers.

George Atkinson = Either #1 or #4
Josh Atkinson = Either #3 or 43

On a side note, apparently Lynch, Ishaq, Brindza and Carrico are rooming together in a quad. Golson will be living elsewhere (rumors possibly with Riddick).

This is definitly a nice off topic of the sky is falling roller coaster that comes from the commits/decommits threads...

I am definitely not much for looking at recruits on facebook, but I saw this nice mural of all the commits and of course they were all tagged. The unconscious fan in me clicked on a couple before I came to my senses. I did however get a few good nuggets:

Tony Springmann's status:
"to hell with the guy who'll die for Notre Dame. I want men who will fight to keep it alive!" -Knute
-Liked by mama Lynch and Ben "Go Irish" Koyack among others.

Also he was having a conversation with Brindza where he stated that #69 was open and he has first dibs. Kyle said he is looking at 9, 15, or 27.

One last thing I noticed, Rabasa was keeping in good touch with the guys it seemed. Obviously Miami is going to push hard for a talent like that in their backyard...IMO I just do not see them making up the ground.

I know some of this is off topic but it is all relative.

i think Dieon Walker is number 1 so that wouldn't work, i would rather have atkinson be #1 unless dieon feels its now time to start playing football, gary gray is 4 but he is on d so that might work.

Apparently Nix will be #9 next year (will be interesting to see how the single digit stretches across a XXL uniform). I will always root for Springmann, Caricco, Grace and Brindza, no matter what, for their undying loyalty and belief in everything ND.

XXL uniform? Try XXXXL uniform, and that would be a tight fit. Louis Nix is a monstrous dude. I can't wait to see him in the #9 jersey punishing the fools who think they can run up the middle.

I am just relying the info that came from the meeting between Kelly and the Atkinsons. I have no insight into whether that has any significance towards Deion or not. #4 would be available if he wanted as you noted, because they play on opposite sides of the ball, but also because Gray might change numbers (he tweeted a few weeks ago about possible changing to #21).

Oh no problem at all, i was thinking atkinson would look for #1 because he was that in high school so it makes sense.

I do love single digit linebackers.

2, 4, 6

Tatum, Minor, Cobbins

Aside from Te'o, I don't think ND has ever had a single digit All-American LB.

Kory Minor was a HS All-American but didn't reach that distinction in college.

I was only referring to Te'o, and the exciting idea of seeing his and Councell's consecutive numbers occupying our linebacking core. I defer to your knowledge on the question of any other single digit linebackers. Hits like this, IMO, always look better from a player with an aesthetically pleasing number:

My guess is that Brindza will be the gopher in that quad. i can't see him giving much lip to those other 3 if asked to do something. That's alot of beef.

I think its pretty obvious who will be cooking and cleaning in the quad. The only question, will UND.com have full access of their entire summer? :)

Pretty sure the Lynch wearing #9 ting was a joke
There was also talk that GG would switch to 21 but i think he decided to stick with 4
Daniels wants to wear 8 which should work since Kendall Moore plays D
Josh Atkinson will also likely weer 43

I never understood this but do the players get miffed that they have to share numbers with another player?

Ishaq's #1 next to Manti's #5 is going to be nasty.
