At least our 2-2 record features a big win over the reigning Big Ten champ and another over a BCS team.

I wouldnt say that Clemson is an average team. They ar 4-0 with wins against 2 ranked opponents and that freshman receiver that they have is an absolute stud. I wouldnt be suprised if they were in the ACC championship

Florida St lost Emmanuel against OK and he didn't play today at all. But I do agree the defense has not lived up to the hype.

Yeah, me calling Clemson average is a bit of an overstatement. I think they're a solid top 25ish team. I just mean they're not a great team like 'Bama, LSU, Stanford, etc. But they've still got a lot to prove before I jump on their bandwagon completely.

Anyways, FSU couldn't move the ball at all against Oklahoma. And they couldn't run at all today against Clemson and their final point total is not very reflective of how their offense played. And FSU's defense has been incredibly underwhelming. And they don't have a single win against a team in a BCS conference and are .500 now.

Get them the f*ck out of the rankings.

Georgia Tech, if they can play some better defense, very well may end up being the best team in that conference.

Uhhhhhhhh maybe because they were ranked #5?? After a whopping 4 losses last year (that's one fewer than ND had last year for reference...) against a very, very weak schedule.

They were ranked ahead of schools like Stanford, Wisconsin, Oregon and Florida. All of those teams (except maybe Wisconsin) would murder FSU. So yeah, I can say with a straight face that their pre-season ranking of #5 and all of the hype they received was ridiculous.

If ND played the way they played against USF, UM, and PITT then they would get completely handled by FSU, VT, Clemson, OU. In fact if ND played there best game ever they would still get handled by OU

This isn't about Notre Dame. This is about FSU being overrated year after year after year after year. What exactly did they do to deserve their top 5 ranking? And what exactly have they accomplished on the field this year? Nothing.

Florida State is ALWAYS overrated and this year is no exception.

Also, the other teams aside, Notre Dame would likely beat VT. VT has a really poor offense and is worse this year than the team that last year lost to JAMES MADISON and got completely owned by Stanford.

That's a good question. I'm not entirely sure there are 15 more talented teams... but I just can't respect a team that has no good wins and is .500. I'll take a shot at 15 teams I like better, but might come up short:

LSU
Alabama
Oklahoma
Stanford
Boise State
Oregon
Wisconsin
Florida (vastly underrated to start the year...)
Clemson
Oklahoma State

So that's 10 that are clearly better... and here are some others I like a lot and would take on a neutral site over FSU:

Texas A&M
TCU
Arkansas
Virginia Tech
Georgia Tech
Texas
USC

I'm not a very big fan of Nebraska, South Carolina, or West Virginia but you could make a case for them. And then you have teams like Baylor that I think are worse than FSU but have better resumes right now/have accomplished more on the field.
