AUPA ATLETI!!

Mourinho lost this tie in the first round by not trying to get an away goal. Atletico Madrid were brilliant today. Siemeone has done a fantastic job with this team even after they lost Falcao. Good to see small money clubs do well.

My dream scenario was Atletico winning 3-2 with Torres scoring both goals. Yeah, I know Torres sucks but there was a time when he was arguably the top striker in the world, and his championship-winning goal in the Euro 2008 tourney that lifted the elephant off Spain's back was my favorite all-time futbol moment. Didn't work out perfectly for me lol, but at least he got one, and the Spanish side got the W.

Agree with you wholeheartedly on Mourinho losing the tie in the first leg. As masterful of a tactician that he is, I disagreed with it then and it bore out in a bad way for him today. He saw today that Atletico can play. It's no accident they are leading La Liga...

So now it is down to 2. If everyone wins, Man City wins the league on GD. Liverpool need 9+goals in the next two games to take over on GD. Not likely.

Can Man City drop points with games in the next week? Will Liverpool win both games?

Aston Villa needs at least a point in their final two games , with 1 against Man City to stave off relegation.

WOW. This is gonna be tight. I know Liverpool met their goal this year to secure CL football but it would be oh so nice to get a League title for Gerrard.

I would love for Liverpool to go 6-0 two straight games...

I know this, NOBODY is off form like Newcastle gets off form when they are off form, and they are OFF FORM.

Even in the unlikely event of that, assuming City wins both games, they will more than likely win by more than 3 goals total.

Definitely do not deserve the League after this past two weeks. Still have work to do defensively.

Anyone see Gedion Zelalam is gaining USMNT eligibility? Huge deal. You know a player is good when they are getting first team looks for Arsenal at age 17.

Did he actually get it yet? I read where he was supposed to here soon. I wonder how many more future American citizens are abroad right now.

Honestly would not surprise me. City has choked a few times this year

This whole PL season has been nutty. I seriously doubt if any team truly deserves the title. Arsenal were playing fantastically until a rash of injuries and getting outscored 100-3 against the other top 4 in that time frame. Chelsea just never seemed to have the killer instinct. Liverpool has been the most consistent, but then choked as of late. And Man City just kinda sneaked in there for the potential title while having some atrocious away games against inferior teams.

Oh and there was the utter collapse of ManU... :boohoo:

Not a done deal, but supposedly will be this weekend. I'd bring him to the World Cup and cap him in the 90th minute of one of the games.

Well right now off the top of my head, the USMNT will have
Mark Pelosi(Liverpool)
Junior Flores(Borussia Dortmund)
Danny Barbir (Manchester City)
Julian Green(Bayern Munich)
Gedion Zalalem(Arsenal, making assumption he is USMNT)
Rubio Rubin (utrect)
Eric Palmer-Brown(Juventus)
Dembawki Yomba(Atletico Madrid)

Not to mention a 14 year old(forget his name) in Barcelona's acadamy as well as one in Real Madrid.

All of those are natural born US citizens actually besides Zelalam, but he did much of his development over here. Maybe the US has finally figured out how to develop our young talent. Those are some pretty elite clubs. Amazing how far the USMNT has come in 20 years.

I have been following Pelosi this year only and he has been pretty solid for Liverpool. I have not heard of any of the others you listed. I have read about Wenger talking very highly of Zalalem.

Emerson Hyndman (Fulham F.C) just played a pivotal role in Fulham's path to the FA cup youth final vs Chelsea.

Thank you for the list though, was not aware of some of these individuals. Appreciated.

All of them are essentially playing for the U21s or not even that yet. Outside of Julian Green all of them are 16 and 17 year olds for the most part.

That was just a few of them, too. USA has a bunch of youth internationals playing in England and Germany. Hoffenheim and Hanover have a few. Fulham, Southampton, West Ham and Birmingham all have at least one also.

I also forgot to mention Kyle Scott who is on the Chelsea u21s

Chandler is hurt and probably wont make the roster. I would sub Evans in there at RB or move Cameron to RB and put Goodson in. Other than that I agree. Zusi and Donovan pretty much play the same role so they may not be on the field at the same time. Might even see Beasly at LB and Fabian at LM.

Honestly, I love Jozy. He is my favorite player. But I do not see anyway you don't start Johannsson over him if the game was tomorrow. Jozy's form is awful and Johannsson is killing it as AZ, more than Jozy was.
