All he had to do was focus on social policy while taking credit for the great economy while doing some minor tweaks. Instead, he decided to destroy the value of the dollar and crush US manufacturing while pretending to “save it.”
This is a shortsighted version of the past 4-5 years. I think most people, aside from the millions of illegals ushered in by the Biden admin, would strongly favor Jan 2019 over Jan 2025. Trump did not inherit a "great" economy in any way.
January 2019
Pre pandemic
No one lost their job because they refused an experimental therapeutic
Our national debt wasn't at $36 trillion
Stock market was at an all time high
Manufacturing on the rise
Median wages on the rise
Unemployment under 4%
No botched withdrawal from Afghanistan
Russia wasn't invading Ukraine
Didn't see anything close to 8% inflation
30 year mortgage rates around 3%
