Clever, but this isn't the reason people on this board have gone torch and pitchfork on some of the coaches, and you know that. Al Golden is a lazy recruiter, Parker isn't calling the right plays (the screen passes are there, though, folks), Stuckey can't make Tobias great at football. Jackass penalties affect play calling when you have the bottom of your WR two deep out there and you can't stay on schedule because of pre snap flags. It's fixable and not terminal, it needs to improve, but it certainly isn't being addressed here because the Irish Envy Greatest Hits record is on repeat by the same artists in every other thread.

Who they going to fire? Based on the amount of pre snap penalties, it's gotta be the brand new OL coach right? The shit is all flying at Parker right now and Stuckey's thread got bumped. You've got people beefing on the WR. They won't win a championship with Al Golden and he isn't the second coming of Vinny Cerrato. 114th out of 130 in Fewest Penalties is a legit gripe.

They're a 5-1 team and this can be cleaned up between now and the rest of the season. Nobody has to be fired and the trolls needn't be fed constantly.
I prefer tar and feather, but to each his own.

We play like crap, can't get the snap correct, forgot what a screen pass is and the freshman aren't playing like NFL Pro Bowlers and yet here we are 5-1 and ranked #10. Clean up a couple of things and we're in business.

Defense was honestly fine EXCEPT for tackling in the second half and dumb AF blitzes on 3rd downs. Golden needs to stop that shit.

Penalties and officiating in general was a joke. That booth review targeting when Bothelo is trying to wrap up low is crazy. Reviewing the punt out of bounds WHEN YOURE NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO is crazy. It’s just a joke and cost us multiple scores.

Parker has predictable tendencies and it’s killing us.

Tobias Merriweather… man… he went full Kadarius Toney. Bad situation there without Thomas and Greathouse.

Mitchell Evans and Howard Cross played their tails off.
im looking at Leonard's stats seeing him under 50% completion, with an interception and I am wondering why we are blitzing the whole side of the field and leaving no one on edge duty. Let this guy throw please stop giving him scramble lanes.

It's one thing if your sure tackling and hes only picking up 3/4 yards but it was so chunky and uneccessary.

Wow what a great video. Did anyone else notice Parker conferred with Freeman about the play call right before Estime's TD run? As in, literally asked him what he wanted to run. That surprised me. Figured it was all Parker since Freeman is a defensive guy although head coach. Video was awesome!

They only showed part of Convo, sounded like “go for it” was td or run it for fg… I think we got lucky, finally … that would have been a stressful kick … kinda shocked freeman wouldn’t go for td

Holy hell this is awesome. Hearing the coaches talk over the radio is incredible insight. They are so calm it’s crazy.

This is the best ND media video I can recall. The voice overs are awesome, can't understand how Parker was so calm lol. Going to go rewatch final drive now.

Despite all the miscues and growing pains, how can you not be confident in the future of ND football? There's not a man in that locker room that would rest easy disappointing Marcus Freeman.

I don't know how long it will take, but Marcus Freeman is going to win a national championship at Notre Dame.

Makes some good points on how playing two top notch teams back to back is immensely draining physically and mentally. Was super impressed that ND was able to put that final drive together considering all of that.

Freeman wanting to put it on Schraeder for the win was surprising
