Not the current Cincy DC, that's for sure. I will assume that the current Cincy OC will come here though.

I know there's another thread on which coordinators stay and go. I'd be amazed if Jon Bon Tenuta is still around when the dust settles.

What about our secondary? Doesn't seem like Corwin's been doing much lately. Maybe he needs to hit the road as well?

I thought Pelini's brother was the DC...could happen, probably not though.

"sorry bro, we're family and all... but this is Notre Dame and they're willing to pay half what I'm making now......... fuck you I'm out"

I can't imagine any scenario where any of our current defensive staff stays on...

Rick Minter

Didn't Minter coach at Cincy before D'Antonio? lol

would be a weird connection and the bend but don't break actually wouldn't be bad in Kelly's offense

and i'm for corwin brown. he did well in 2007 pre-Tenuta. our secondary wasn't good the past two years but hes used to a man-to-man D where Tenuta goes zone

Eastbound and Down quote........

Awesome.

Who would be the Notre Dame equivelant of Kenny Powers?
First player to come to mind is Pat Kuntz, don't know why. Maybe all the weird hairstyles?

Well, not everyone is willing to take a 50% haircut though to each his own.

Speaking of money, let's see if it talks and pulls away an upper-tier DC. Fascinating off-season...both staffing and recruiting.

He did? ND gave up 28.8 points a game, in 2007. How is that "doing well"?

he did do well... remember our offense that year??? worst in the whole country basically... the ONLY year the defense showed promise and played "well" during the Weis era was during the 3-9 disaster... the record and the offensive struggles masked it, but yeah, the D played very well that year considering the situations they were put in every week

Whatever happened to a d/c who said lets just get the ball back for our prolific offense. Surely he's out there somewhere. I could care less if he comes from high school or egypt.

How about Dick Pumpas from TCU? It would be a step up for him, he has a great rep as a DC and a Defensive line coach, and he was a D-Line at ND under Holtz from 90 to 92.

My bro plays at GVSU. There has been the rumor that he would be the DC at ND in Michigan but Martin said to everyone that he doesn't foresee himself leaving only because his family is happy. Obviously that means NOTHING, but he hasn't been a DC since Kelly was at GVSU and has been running the offense the entire time since. Plus I would imagine the jump from D2 to a DC at ND would be HUGE. Could happen though I guess, but I"m hoping we get a proven guy from somewhere whose name does not start with a T and end with an anuta.

Go Lakers this weekend by the way - about to add another championship to the list.

I said that in another thread so I obviously think it's a great idea and would LOVE it.
