I can't believe Mustipher is already out, he was considered top notch just a few years ago when he went in. Riddick is a bit surprising too, I know a few years ago he was a real receiving threat coming out of the backfield, but I haven't kept up on him the last few years and the shelf life on the average back is certainly short these days.

[EDIT] Disregard, I was confusing Mustipher with Stanley.

Outisde of "Locks" these are Projected Outs or Projected Ins, using 53 man projections from local team's sources, e.g. Stampede Blue for Indy or Indy Star for Colts.

As the cuts come Saturday, feel free to update with those that make the squads or don't. Many may end up on the practice squads.

Seemed like there was quite of bit of Josh Adams vs. Dexter debate (mostly from Koon). Looks like both may be out of the league.

Thought I saw a tweet or something that Dex was expected to be on the PS if not picked up. No idea about Adams though.

Under the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, the number of players on each team's practice squad (16) has been increased. Also, the team can add two players from their practice squad for each game, suiting up 55 .Those two do not need to be the same two each game.

So, Dex or Tony J., for instance, not only could be added to a regular roster as in past, but teams may be relying on them not to claimed and appear regularly. Teams signing players just a couple of weeks prior to the season like Onwualu or Russell may have been signed for that reason.

Gehrig Dieter was cut by the Chiefs. The Chiefs took one less RB (3) than usual. Adrian Peterson has been speculated that he could be signed.

The elevation exception can only happen twice for the same player without going back to the same elevation/demotion rules. So not really meant to allow a player to appear regularly. It's just meant to ease spot duty.

I'm most happy with the temp increase from 10-16 total, and allowing 4 (now temp 6) to have unlimited accrued years of experience.

Who knows what opportunities might pop up with possible CV complications out there. Didn’t see the Tony Jones Jr on the list. One more week guys let’s hang in there and get this party started!!!! I don’t GAS about the NFL or any other pro sports beyond golfing which makes very few political statements.

Sam Young really has lingered nicely on these rosters the last few years making some good money and not getting his brain bashed in. Looking at pro football reference, in his ten year career he has only played 1692 snaps. For reference, Ronnie Stanley has played over 3600 snaps in 4 years.

Asmir Bilal called up to replace him. Drue had surgery yesterday

ND replacing ND players - we got the depth :)

But seriously, feel so bad for Drue and all the crap he's been through. This one shouldn't be as bad as the knees, but just thought of another period off for him hurts - especially knowing of how deserving he is for success.

Irish players nominated for Walter Payton Man-of-the-Year award

Irish players nominated for Walter Payton Man-of-the-Year award

The Award is considered the most prestigious by the NFL. It recognizes an NFL player for "outstanding community service activities off the field, as well as excellence on the field".

Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement. "The 32 Walter Payton Man of the Year nominees remind us that even in the face of adversity, players continue to raise awareness and use their voice and platform to positively impact their communities. The nominees will leave lasting legacies across the country in a time when we need leadership and strength the most."

Jaylon Smith was nominated by the Cowboys.

Excerpt:
Despite the challenges created by Covid-19 in 2020, Smith has continued to work hard both on and off the football field to be a positive role model for his teammates and others in North Texas and in his home state of Indiana. Since joining the Dallas Cowboys as a second-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Smith has been a staple participant in team community outreach efforts. Even as a rookie, unable to see action on the field due to his Injured Reserve / NFI status, Smith kept busy helping others.

Smith's pursuit of his personal business ventures exposed him to the need for investment into the minority entrepreneurial community. His drive to give others the same opportunity to financially succeed and see their business dreams become a reality drove him to launch the Minority Entrepreneurship Institute in partnership with RISE Sports Advisors and the Sagamore Institute.

Smith has pledged $2.5 million over 10 years to spur MEI investments and is adding co-investors across the country who share in his beliefs. His hope is that minority entrepreneurs will be the game-changers who can make a changing economy come to life.
Isaac Rochell was nominated by the Chargers.

Excerpt:
"I have these goals while I'm in the NFL, 1A and 1B," Rochell said. "1A is to be here and have a great career, and 1B is definitely making a massive impact in the community. Because of the way that I was raised and the kind hearts that both my parents have and my family has, I learned to have that same type of compassion for people. I'm just so thankful for it."

"We are very proud of what Isaac has accomplished in his four years in the NFL, both on and off the field," said John Spanos, Chargers president of football operations. "While remaining completely dedicated to his craft as a player along the defensive line, and having played in every single game since the start of the 2018 season, he's also remained dedicated to making a positive impact in the community.

"From his 'See You on Sunday' campaign, to all the great charitable work his company, Local Human, has been a part of, it is clear Isaac is making a difference. We know this is just the beginning for Isaac, not only as a player but as a philanthropist as well. This is why we are so excited and proud to be able to recognize Isaac Rochell as our 2020 Los Angeles Chargers Walter Payton Man of the Year."

Very proud of you guys. Congratulations.

Quite a few guys were let go Monday as teams get down to the 53 man rosters. The ones I've seen that were let go:
Nick McCloud
Josh Adams
Sheldon Day
Asmar Bilal
Donte Vaughn
Cole Luke
Jalen Elliot
Tommy Kraemer
Alize Mack
Javon McKinley
Brock Wright
Equanimeous St. Brown
Dexter Williams
Kei'Varae Russell
C.J. Procise

There might be more I could have missed, and some of these guys could potentially get picked up again. Those are just the names I was able to pull from the list: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...r-all-32-teams

[EDIT] Looks like McCloud has already been picked up by the Bengals.

Kyren Williams - Apparently he's had a good camp. Maybe a third down back/RB2 for the Rams this year.
Chase Claypool - Probably starting for the Bears.
Robert Hainsey - Still battling for starting center job in Tampa Bay.
Aaron Banks - Starting LG for the 49ers.
