Whatever your views on the entire trans issue, common sense and any semblance of rational thought should disallow such surgery on minors, or at least minors below the age of 12 or 13. We don't allow them to vote, buy alcohol or tobacco, sign contracts, buy a firearm, drive a car, live unsupervised, get married, or make any other major decisions or life choices because at that age, they're incapable of making informed, reasonable decisions and choices about much of anything. A person who's too young to make a wise, informed choice about having sex is too young to make an informed choice about gender reassignment surgery.
It's really sad. Every week I see posts retweeted from people that transitioned very young, and now that they're adults they lament the fact they can't have children, or their body is mutilated, and that no one stopped them when they were too young to realize the ramifications. They're looking at a lifetime of depression and regret.

Just when you thought it couldn't be more absurd.

SJWs Now Claim Liking Big Booties Is Cultural Appropriation

'History has made it so that big butts, in particular, have a racial connotation... '
ByEzekiel Loseke
January 5, 2023

(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) A new book, Butts: A Backstory, is asking a question you never thought you needed: is it racist to like big butts?
Heather Radke, the author of the book, argued that women’s butts have been “used as a means to create and reinforce racial hierarchies,” according to an interview she did with Esquire.
Radke explained that the human rear end is not inherently racist. Rather, “history has made it so that big butts, in particular, have a racial connotation,” she explained.
The racial connotations of rear-ends is taken totally seriously viewed through the lens of a social justice warrior. “It’s our job as white people to be aware of our relationship to that history, and to be thoughtful about what we’re wanting when we want to have a big butt.”

That’s right, gents, if you don’t nip that attraction to butts in the bud, you are a racist!
The argument is that big butts are a black thing, and white people having them, wanting them, or being attracted to them is an expression of white supremacy, as explained by Kat Rosenfield. The cultural view is that “big-butted women are more fertile or more sexually potent than women with smaller butts,” Radke claimed. “This comes from the legacy of an idea about big-butted women, and about black women.”

Meanwhile, if one is not attracted to big butts, but rather little butts, well, you’re a racist too. The stereotypes around women with small butts are “of innocence and purity,” which can also “be harmful for everyone involved,” according to Radke. Bottom line: if you like big butts you are racist; if you like small butts, well, you are also racist. Rosenfield warned that “the alarming possibility that one’s butt — or at least, one’s relationship to butts generally — is racist.”

More fun with words.

(Headline USA) The University of Southern California’s school of social work announced this week that it will no longer use the word “field” in its curriculum due to its “racist connotations.”

USC’s Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work shared a letter with students and faculty on several steps the school plans to take to advance “anti-racism.” One step is replacing the word “field” with “practicum,” according to the letter, which was dated Jan. 9.

“This change supports anti-racist social work practice by replacing language that would be considered anti-Black or anti-immigrant in favor of inclusive language,” the letter said.

Today, @uscsocialwork sent out this letter announcing that they will no longer use the word “field” (as in “conducting field work”) because it’s perceived as racist. Is this with merit or empty virtue signaling? @elonmusk @IngrahamAngle pic.twitter.com/kgM9p4MAb5

So saying “I’m working in the field rather than the office today” or “I work in the field of medicine” is now deemed as racist by these idiots? I just don’t get it……..

About 0.7% of kids identify as Trans. Less than 10% of those pursue any surgery, the most common being breast reduction. Pediatric genital surgery is vanishing rare at less than 20 cases a year in the past 3 years. All of which occur at 13 or later with most occurring at 17.

Medicine has moved towards delaying genital surgery on kids born with ambiguous genitalia because, surprise surprise, they get gender dysphagia a lot and think their parents picked the wrong gender.

But sure, you see weekly tweets from people who regret gender affirming surgery. Because every post op patient tweets to you.

Social media, how does it work? I don't know what to tell you. You can Google Let Me Google That and see articles or put "transition regret" into Twitter and find multiple posts from this week of people or articles with people that transitioned that wish they never made the switch. It's not just kids, we're talking teens too.

Why lmao.

Maybe the headline is misleading but my first thought is why does the NHL need to “call“ for diverse candidates to apply? I think they should welcome all candidates to apply and say the door is open equally for each of them. Farmers in Florida are probably an underrepresented group in the NHL but are they diverse?

Hockey is one of the most expensive entry level sports, and like most sports a lot of the positions in management/office are usually given through some sort of nepotism. Also I think most will say that being a farmer is a bit different than being born black etc., being a farmer is a profession which you can change - can't change what you're born as. I think everyone can say that having more diversity of opinions and backgrounds is better for the game and society overall.

I would agree, diversity in all areas of life is a positive. I would say that nepotism is common in most, if not all, occupational areas. In starting and operating a number of companies, I would say that my experience has shown me that keeping the door open for everyone as a job candidate creates such an environment. We never felt it necessary to “call” for certain sectors of the population to apply for a position (other than the qualifications required for the position). Oddly enough, this lent itself to diversity in the workplace. I also realize this does not always occur. Does this mean that the NHL call for candidates is just another way of saying they were focusing on people who are non-white and/or farther down on the socioeconomic ladder (or some other social status that is perceived as at a disadvantage)? I personally don’t like that approach, I’d much rather a person be a candidate solely due to their abilities and qualifications.

No problem with encouraging a diverse population to apply. Big problem if you announce that you be hiring only a certain ethnicity. It would be stupid for a corporation to ever make that public. What Biden did with our last Supreme Court nominee would've been prime lawsuit material if a corporation did that.
