If HCTI says 6-1 one more time, my new life goal will be to become a moderator on this board just so that I can ban him. Then, I'll be able to ride of into the sunset knowing I made the world a better place.
This stat don't lie....6-1
For some reason, you saying "6-1" is starting to remind me of that saying "Shake-N-Bake" from Talladega nights.
On a more serious note, Matt at Her Loyal Sons breaks down Rees' Interceptions per Attempt here. It demonstrates that Rees is clearly improving with each game he plays, which corroborates with Kelly's claim that Rees learns quickly and only has to make a mistake once.
Buster fix your picture bro. It will prob. make me laugh so want to see it.
6-1 Baby!!!! Stats don't lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All Irish Fans love the 6-1, but it really masking the truth. He is 6-3 when he plays the most QB snaps in a game. got to keep those Tulsa and South Florida games out of the mix????

Really? He took almost every snap of the Tulsa game. And the USF game he came in after half. What is the difference when a team goes down on the opening kickoff and takes a 7-0 lead, then the starter is playing from behind. Or 7-0 and then the other team fumbles and they score again and it is 10-0 or 14-0. Are they credited from playing from behind under that logic? Tommy took the most snaps in the Tulsa and USF game (threw a horrible pass that really cost them the game in Tulsa when the pressure was on, and how many turnovers in the USF game in 1 half??) and both of those games are conveniently left off because he didn't start. Still played more than anybody, but that 6-1 is what so many want to throw out. To me it is 6-3. He threw an absolut horrible pass in the endzone that cost us the game versus Tulsa, young or old still a horrible pass. And USF he was a turnover machine in one half! Sorry, I just can't buy it. I hope he gets better because he is our QB the rest of the way. I will support him, as I did at the Sun Bowl. But, seeing everyone put up the 6-1 is just not genuine IMO.
He has lead us to 3 game over .500 when he palys the most.

I can see the TJ pass he hit him in the ear hole, but he under threw and horrible pass in the Tulsa game. That was 100% his fault.
Do we need to go back and look at all the passes that were dropped by defenders too? Tommy has been off this year, for some reason he looks to miss a lot of receivers. Looking at the breakdown of his passes this year on another post here on this forum it has been pretty clear. But, we need him to get better. YOu and others want to defend him on everything 6-1 etc. I am more of a realist, he doesn't see the whole field and that is totally eveident, he fumbles and throws more ints than most QB's in all of football-fact, he can run-fact, but he maybe our best chance right now and he has a quick release which are good things. We have to support him, he is our QB. But the turnover and this 6-1 mirage (6-3 when he takes the most snaps!) I still think our best overall QB is on the bench. One that can run, actually throw a deep ball, but has no game time in Andrew H. Oh well, I am going to lose this battle here. Too many will excuse the ints and no running ability of Rees. He has lead us to 3 game over .500 when he palys the most.
Remember that great Matt LoVecchio 7-1 as a freshman Similarities? The deal with Matt he played better as a freshman than he did as a soph, and he lost his job. I guess no similarities here, Rees won't lose his job.
Enough for me, I am losing this battle here. We all have to support Rees, we have to get to a bowl game and we need Rees to be the best he can be.
Go Irish! Take care of Purdue!!!!
Aero, good points. I will stop the complaining about Rees turnover problems and lack of running ability. Hope he gets better, or we will just have to rely on the D to get us to a solid bowl game. We need Rees to play well, he is our QB. I am just not a believer in Rees. Hope he can get the job done. Like I said, I think our best QB is on the Bench right now. Andrew H.
Time for me to move on, we need to beat Purdue.
Go Irish!!!!!
6-1 when playing the whole game? Didn't we run the Leprecat in 2 of the games, and Rees was on the sidelines?
Enough is enough, Rees is the starter and will be the starter. Whether I like it or not, or how many pics or fumbles he has. 6-1 as a starter and he will take us to a BCS Bowl with a record like that.
Go Irish.
