Interestingly having an underlying health condition is a bigger risk multiplier for kids but at the same time way less kids have underlying health conditions w COVID in the hospital than adults. There just aren't that many kids with underlying health conditions. Most studies I've seen have it 60/40 healthy to unhealthy to 40/60 unhealthy to healthy that die. I'd also mention this holds up for other medical conditions. Most flu deaths I've seen have been in kids with underlying health conditions. Doesn't mean the healthy are spared.

What rubbish. You are just making things up. If can’t answer his question or any question, just admit you don’t know.

It’s kind of maddening that each state reports things differently as far as children go. Most don’t do any additional breakdown besides the big grouping. Child as defined by each state can be anywhere between 0-15 and 0-19. Given how there does appear to be a different level of risk for elementary age kids, sure would be nice if we had good data sources that quantify that.

Which vaccines are 100% effective, by your measure they need to be 100% or they aren't vaccines. Pretty simple answer.

Answer this.

The mortality thru the pandemic for each age is included. It's really high in 1 year olds, lower between 1 and 2, and then levels out until around puberty and goes up. For the 5 to 11 cohort it's the number 8 cause of death

My wife got her booster shot Tuesday. As I've mentioned in the past she's a nurse at a pretty busy Kroger Little Clinic.Today she's been getting nose bleeds and petechiae showing up on her back and abdomen. She had ITP (Immune thrombocytopenia) as a child, but it's been in remission for 25+ years. It didn't even come up when pregnant with our three children, doctors monitored her pretty closely during those periods because of her past history. She didn't get any of this with her first two shots. I'm really hoping that it goes back into remission soon.

I think its hilarious you are arguing with an actual doctor. But please don't let me interrupt, please continue looking foolish.

A doctor? Lord have mercy. How can any doctor advocate the “vaccine” for children knowing what we know about its limited short term efficacy? No one knows the long term effects of this “vaccine” so why rush to administer it to children…especially considering how children are the least likely to experience severe symptoms or die from the virus. Unless the good doctor knows something that has not been disclosed to the general public, there is absolutely no reason to vaccinate children. None. Full stop. They are playing with children’s immune system…for what…research? A doctor? No f’king way.

I'm guessing you think it's related to the booster and not a coincidence?

Why haven't you been able to contrast the COVID vaccines with vaccines you believe to be "true vaccines", surely with such strong opposition you have a clear example.

From the good doctor's link, there was 66 Covid related deaths in children 5-11 years of age from 10/3/20 to 10/2/2021. Can someone please explain why the establishment is pushing the shot to children?

Certainly not only about deaths, but the point that is being made is that the risk of death or serious illness for kids in the 5-11 age group is extremely low. Low enough that it doesn't seem to justify using an EUA based upon a pretty small study population. By all means, we can certainly work towards a vaccine for that age group. But a lot of people are certainly uncomfortable with the push to vaccinate large segments of that population based upon the small study that took place and given the risk.

I wish N_D_Fighting_Irish would take a less confrontational approach and not attacking Perth's qualifications as a Doctor.

There were only 100 or so deaths a year before we developed the chickenpox "vaccine" (as you like to call them. Guess we shouldn't administer it to children anymore right?

That's fine. The issue many have is not necessarily the "confrontational approach" but the actual falsehoods. He is reluctant to say why the covid vaccines with incredible efficacies are somehow not vaccines and experimental drugs. That's the issue.

You guys are arguing about semantics. Making a huge deal about how his impression was that the media was pushing vaccines and giving the impression that they were 100% effective. As I stated before, they were obviously not saying that they were 100% effective, but they certainly were touting them being 95% effective and that breakthrough cases would be rare. If you want to keep arguing about 5% go for it.

Edit: I guess I misread your post and thus I had a kneejerk response to where I thought you were going as it seemed like we were arguing about the 100% thing for a long time. My apologies.

I want to sincerely apologize to PerthDomer. I should have controlled my emotions and presented my points in a less abrasive manner. I do not know PerthDomer and there is no reason for me to impugn him/her or question his/her qualifications if that was implied by my comments. I disagree with him/her regarding vaccination.

No worries, I have no issues with your posts. The 5% thing is certainly semantics and I don't know enough about vaccines to argue the importance of 5%, to me 95% is just fine but what do I know.

My issue is with his calling the vaccine (in it's entirety, not just for the 11 and younger age group) an experimental drug and not a vaccine. He hasn't provided any response, let alone data to support that claim. This is straight up knowingly posting disinformation.

Can you compare the years of research and clinical trials for the chickenpox vaccine with this "vaccine"? How many human clinical trials have been performed on mRNA vaccines? How many vaccines have been mandated for viruses that we have yet to determine its origin?

I'm not sure we've ever determined the origin of any virus or germ. We generate reasonable theories but a determined origin is beyond the science. Not sure it is even necessary once you've determined something is a pathogen. At that point it is all about the fix

The caveat on the preexisting conditions is that the studies cast a wide net and include conditions such as "depression" "anxiety" "sleep disorders" "attention disorder" that aren't linked to severe outcomes. The variance in % with pre existing conditions hospitalized often varies based on what you'd call a pre existing condition.

I'd also remind people obesity is based solely on BMI. Most of the ND football team would be called obese based on BMI. Some "obese" kids ice taken care of have been HS football players.

You know they call it medical practice for a reason! Why does the label say "adult dosage two" ? So my wife and I who are different sexes and over 100 lbs apart should be taking the same dosage. My cousin who is sickly with major lung issues brought up the fact when she was getting her covid vaccine that the dosages are the same for everyone regardless. The nurse said she never thought about that. My cousin ended up hospitalized after both shots and her husband barely had any symptoms.

It amazes me that people get criticized for asking questions of the medical industry. Do you all not ask for 2nd opinions?

You can't be serious? All these answers are easily searchable, but let me help you out. In clinical trials the pfizer and moderna vaccines showed weak immune response, with the second dose the response was much greater. First dose starts the process, second reinforces it. Similar to the MMR and HepA and B.

Not sure what your response has to do with what I said. Since you brought up the response to the vaccines, please post the groups excluded from the initial trials which were used to receive EUA. Hint: most Americans fell into those groups. And if it was only as simple as you claim. Have you researched spike proteins?

True, but by origin I meant whether it was man-made or not. If man made, knowing how it was made may help in finding the fix. Yet there was/has been little or no urgency or desire to force the Chinese to open up.

Since this is your "gotcha" moment, I believe the burden falls on you to provide that information. But I did find this: https://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04324606
