So, when Notre Dame shuts down Mike Hart and picks off Mallet 3 or 4 times, how many of you think the name Corwin Brown will start to be thrown around as Lloyd Carr's predecessor?

I think Les Miles is high on everyones list, but isn't clear that the restless want a change from the Bo legacy?

Fortunately Carr is leaving after this year, because I think it limits Corwins chance. I'd like to see Corwin become the most sought after coach after years of shut-down defenses at Notre Dame.

Oh, and by the way, don't think the clout at michigan hasn't taken notice to all the UM "locks" going the way of Corwin and Notre Dame.

I doubt Brown will be named a candidate. No head coaching experience and a very unproven coach in the college ranks. Brown has to show what he is made of before he become a candidate for anything

Give Brown time and we will see what he is made of. We can't really tell whether he is a good coach or not considering our team issues. I believe he will be a great coach.

I am not bashing Brown. He is unproven at the college ranks. I think he will be a good coach, but he needs some experience before he can be considered a head coaching candidate, which is good for us.

Agreed. How long had he been a coach in the NFL?

Brown has studied under some of the best and most respected men in the profession including Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick, Romeo Crennel, Herm Edwards, Al Groh and Eric Mangini. Now, he's able to incorporate all of the knowledge he has gained in his new role as defensive coordinator at Notre Dame.

May want to take Belichick out of this article!! But thanks for the link plove, was very informative.

Like i said, it's fortunate that Carr is gone after this year, it spares them coming after corwin. However, it took UCLA's D-Cor 1 year at the helm to have the head hunters come knocking. I think if the defense plays well against michigan tomorr... today, you will hear corwins name in the rumblings. However, I think he'll be at notre dame until atleast 1 or 2 national titles are won in the coming years. Yes, I am a homer.

Odds are higher that Bo Schembechler's name will be throw around as Carr's predecessor. But I doubt that CB will be named as a successor.
