It just occurred to me... I think I can speak for a lot of ND fans that we wanted a blow-out today, which is why it feels disappointing that we're "only" up 24-3 after 3 quarters.

In contrast, I think Charlie wanted a win. He's played a conservative, solid game-plan today on both sides of the ball. Not a lot of risks, lots of low-yardage high-percentage plays.

...and crud, halfback-pass for a touchdown. How many times are we gonna give THAT up this year?

I'm not so sure that's a bad thing today. We have some key injuries, but we're up against a team that has been rendered completely impotent by injuries of their own.

Play it safe, grind it out, don't go for style points, and keep a team that is HUNGRY for an upset from even getting close to one. 24-10 in the 4th quarter. I'd say it's working...
