Hind sight is always 20/20 but I think it is hard for young men to follow the direction of a leader if there are two.

A not so related example is of a General in the military. There is a reason only one leads men into battle. Because he is the only one they take orders from.

Same with a coach you should only have one that primarily directs you. I know in this case the General would be the Head Coach, but his Lieutenants would be assistant coaches. You can't have two Lieutenants guiding the same unit. There are bound to be factions that follow one and not the other. Just my opinion.

I am just happy fam and others are ok if involved at one point. Bless him and fellow people that are struggling with this incident. People go through **** all the time but at certain points one can deal while the other can't. I just wish them (Corwin's) the best. May he please get better.

Agreed. Nowhere in our society is the entitlement worse that with our sports heroes. Gods if they win, damned if they don't. Maybe it is this kind of pressure that leads to the convoluted logic, that facilitates something like this happening.

After all, in addition to Corwin there is a woman who has suffered a great loss with her husband, (trust, etc) and two beautiful young girls, and a young son. Our hearts went out for TJ earlier this summer, how is this not worse? And what is more important than a young loving child who depends on you to grow strong? The answer is nothing if you have ever had that and lost it.

Agreed this is not the time to bicker about something as petty as football personalities. No, this is the time to love, nurture, and count what is important, and gather it together, to help it grow strong and to help others off this destructive path, and to heal their wounds.

I don't see one post that rags on either Corwin or Chuck. Matter of fact everyone was pretty concerned about the situation. Now, I cant say that a few things didn't cross my mind but I still did not say anything and neither did anyone else.

Kinda crazy how 2 of our past coaches went NUTS all of a sudden though. sheesh

what a waste of life!

I havent posted in nearly 11 months.

Just had to log in to tell you to go **** yourself.

I dont care what you think about what happened, but for God sakes have some compassion for a man who clearly is struggling with life itself. This isnt a 12 year old boy trying to seek attention from his parents. This is a 40 year old father, husband, all around repsectable man who felt that all of the struggles hes been facing were enough to end his life.

The sickness was enough to justify taking himself away from his wife, his 2 young daughters, & his countless friends.

Its not some "waste of life". Its sickness, its depression, its a man who has lost all hope and felt he was at the end of his road. People dont react this way for fun, people react this way because they're seeking finality to their pain.

Do you know the sickness needed to point a gun at yourself and pull the damn trigger?

By God's graces it wasnt a fatal wound and this is God's sign that his time is still needed on his green Earth. Its a sign hes still needed to be a husband to his wife, a father to his 2 young daughters to help them nourish and grow, & eventually one day spread his knowledge of this game we all love to other young football players.
