All - there is a coaching convention this week. As such, there is also a recruiting dead period until Thursday I believe. There will probably be a lull in recruiting / coaching news until after. Look for our positional coaches to be named shortly after as well.

Is there any truth to the rumor about Urban Meyer giving a presentation at the conference about miracle cures for coaches with heart problems?

Yes, I have heard this also. I believe one of the cures used is physical exercising with young college girls until wife finds out and makes you retire for a year.

Don't be surprised to see our new OL coach be Pat Ruel. it would be a homerun hire if it happens.

Pretty sure he was at SC for five years until pete left. And he was also at Kansas I'm pretty sure for 8 years. A lot of times he left because of coaching changes or simply better jobs

I threw this name around a week or two ago. He was also the OL Coach at USC from 2005-2010. They did pretty well then.

He also has a big west coast presence & NFL experience.

Coached previously in Texas, Kansas, Michigan, Arkansas, Washington, and Illinois. Born in Miami, played at the U.

Check out his recruits that signed with USC:

Pat Ruel - USC Football

Pat Ruel - USC Football

Pat Ruel - USC Football

I'm a fan of this hire.

He coached for the Bears.....I'd want no part of him....sorry, as a Bears fan I've seen first hand his handy work with OL's.
