I love Reesus.... but Herman has an f'ing track record of production. That'd be dope. But it ain't happening.

Really...at the end of the day I miss Jimmy Clausen. Any of the recent ND coordinators would unleash the beast.

Rest in Power Jimmy.

This is what I'm saying. We need some 'names' if we aren't going to throw money at analyst or extra 'recruiters'

I can't see Freeman going to OSU to be their DC...when he could just take the vacant Cincinnati job.

But I have NO idea why Ryan Day would take the Philly job under Howie Roseman. That's not a job you leave Ohio State for

Who's the next man up for OSU at QB? There D was down some this year, do they rebound next year or continue to slide backwards?

I wonder if the big ten pissed him off with how they handled covid. Pure speculation, but maybe to many 'rules' for him this year.

Yeah maybe the Big Ten's initial ruling pissed him off this year, but he should then realize that the conference bent over backwards, embarrassing themselves, solely for the sake of his team. That's not gonna happen in the NFL with the Eagles. He'd have a better shot of getting canned by Roseman in 3 years

Ryan Day has always struck me the wrong way. I don’t think he leaves but if he did, it would be that he’s now out of Urban’s players and a generational QB in Fields and knows the iron may not be as hot in a few years

I couldn't imagine what it would be like to coach in the NFL.

Right or wrong you are in total control as a college coach.

Kid pisses you off 'dog house'

NFL? player tells you get f'd...you just sit back and take it and he'll get a higher salary.

That would be extremely hard to handle. IMO

I'm with you. Dude is pretty smug and arrogant. In some ways he reminds me of BK. lol

College includes way more bullshit on the side. If he just wants to football all day long then the NFL is where it’s at.

I think it’s the opposite. Have to suck up to these kids in recruiting. Now, they’ll just transfer if you put them in the dog house. NFL seems way more appealing.

By all accounts, Day is a dog on the crootin trail and makes sure his assistants are, too. They're stockpiling talent at a scary level.

Rich Rodriguez to ULM as OC.

I mean, I know he's got buyout money galore, but damn.

his son is headed there too to play QB

Makes sense.

If Day leaves, would we assume tOSU calls Matt Campbell? That's got to be the first call.

I don't know how Fickell factors in there. It seems like he'd be ready for that job.

I'd start with Tony Elliott, myself.

Honestly, I think Matt Campbell might be our new version of Bill Snyder. Campbell might be the only person who can succeed at Iowa State and if he moves on to a bigger job I doubt he replicates that success. He could stay at Iowa State and be a pain in the ass for the big boys but something tells me if he went to a powerhouse blue blood and tried to run a program he'd crash.

I am impressed with him, but only within the context of Iowa State.

I like PJ Fleck, but he might be in the same boat. Shit, no pun intended.

gotta wonder too. IF Urban takes the Jags job. how many OSU coaches does he take with him? specifically strength coach Mickey Marotti.
