Matt Moore back as Carolina Panthers' QB; Jimmy Clausen benched - ESPN

The Panthers are going back to Moore.

Please God don't let there be another shuffle between QBs like Anderson and Quinn.

Brady never even got a true chance to gel with the offense.

Hopefully Clausen will be more fortunate.

Jimmy Clausen was not ready. They panicked and threw him to the wolves and it was readily apparent. Clausen refused to throw downfield and the vanilla play calling did not help. He hit his check down man more often than not.

The Panthers SUCK. They have a horribly overrated offensive line and no receivers (Steve Smith excluded). It wasn't the dream situation everybody believed it would be for Clausen. It's a nightmare.

Props to John Fox for axing Clausen's confidence. The jackass will be out of Carolina before the end of the season.

I always wonder just how good Jimmy would be doing on the Broncos right now with all of those big play receivers.

Fox is going to be gone and I doubt any HC thinks Moore is the long term solution.


There is going to be plenty of OL and WR talent in the FA market this offseason. If Carolina is willing to pay, they could build that offense back up in little time.

Carolina is a pretty poor team this year, and Clausen is a rookie and is going to struggle anywhere. He is in a crappy situation right now.

They did a fire sale on experience before the season IIRC.

I also think Steve Smith is a **** and a cancer to the locker room. I could see them dumping him after the season when they get a new coach and GM.

I honestly dont know why the Chiefs didn't take him. Matt Cassels is way overrated can't throw a long pass worth anything. I'm not a a Chiefs fan but i want Jimmy to have chance for success . Its stinks would really been good fit with Weis.

I'm not a Chiefs fan either, but I thought the Chiefs and Clausen would have been a great fit with Charlie being there. The Chiefs would have been a much better situation for Clausen. The Panthers have alot of problems at the moment, so Clausen is going to be stuck in neutral for awhile I think.
