Nailed it.

I don't know how or when Kevin Warren gets fired, but it has to happen. I honestly don't think Ted Phillips could be doing any worse.

I thought you knew the Chicago Bears Jiggi. If you did, you would know that Phillips would have the Bears using the old field at Gary Roosevelt about now.

Whatever.

Corporate welfare. Building a stadium on a toxic waste dump funded by tax payers. Cool. Keep paying property taxes on the land you bought in Arlington Heights, IL while you're at it. Good plan.

Yep. The county and AH taxing bodies have zero incentive to negotiate with them at this point. The Bears bought that land at that price with the view it was a blank slate for the project, so they can pay that rate as unimproved land. And have fun selling it now that everyone who might be interested knows you want out.

Tax payer funded stadiums is actually something, hold your breath, that Americans can agree upon. People don't want them. See Kansas City as a recent example. My aunt and uncle in Valpo don't want this. My aunt and uncle in Palatine don't want to pay for it either. They don't vote the same.

Jerry Reinsdorf went to the state because he wanted a new stadium. He got a real sweet deal at the stroke of midnight from Big Jim Thompson (R) to get the current one he occupies built back in the day. Threatened to go to Tampa and all that horseshit. Not this time. The Ricketts Family paid for the Wrigley upgrades. The Chicago Fire are getting a new stadium (where Jerry wanted his) without tax payer money.

Zero apologies here: Fuck the Bears. Bought land where a racetrack used to be in the suburbs with zero plan. Lay in the bed you made.

Hammond Bears, doesn’t have the same ring to it.

I’m assuming that Hammond, IN is in the bears “territory” or the Colts would veto this move.

It's considered Chicagoland. It's why it's the only area in Indiana in the central time zone.

What do you think of the East Rutherford Giants/Jets? Or the Arlington Cowboys? Or the Inglewood Rams? Or Landover Commanders? This is such a stupid joke that ignorant fans say over and over again

Kind of where I'm at currently. Not too happy about ruining the aura of a 100-year-old franchise. The only good thing about the move is it's closer to my friend and he'll keep his season tix now. Otherwsie, a move to AH was going to force him to sell them.

Warren just threatened to nuke Illinois if Illinois lawmakers and taxpayers don’t pay for the new stadium. We have two weeks to pay up……and then another two…..and then an indefinite amount of time to figure it out.

Buy a wedding dress before your first date. Pretty fucking brilliant plan.

Bring in Kevin Warren, whose sole purpose for being hired was getting this stadium deal done, and 3 1/2 years later after he's hired they're still finger fucking around.

Drove through Hammond several times on the way from Chicago to South Bend back in the 90s. Wouldn't have guessed in a million years it would someday be the home of the Chicago Bears.
