I've played around with some story writing interfaces that utilize GPT-3 the last few years. Dungeon AI to name one. You can setup a world, characters, plot, and the AI will basically write a completely original story based on your parameters. You can hone the character's skill sets, background, etc. You can also alter details or text on the fly if you don't like what direction it's going. For the most part the AI will remember these parameters and stick to them, but sometimes the longer the story goes the more it might forget some of the early details. Kind of a fun time waster when you're on the pot. Sometimes the AI gets horny, as AI's do. Some of the stuff it writes would make a Playboy editor blush. The original stories are the meat of the AI though, it's cool to see what it comes up with.

The problem with things like this where people try to get the AI to think or feel things is that it could still just be presenting information it found about how AIs might think or feel in a worst case scenario. Its not coming to a conclusion on its own, but presenting more information it found in a different style.

You can ask it to write things in the voice or manner of someone else. This is simply writing all the potential problems with AI that have been discussed in the voice or manner of an AI experiencing those things.

Yes, this thing is really good but it is purely a program that makes predictions about what word should come next. We might be doomed but it won't be because this program actually loves or wants to destroy things. It'll be because about 80% of human interaction/work isn't much more than the same type of predictive problem solving.

It's what comes next that concerns me the most.

Look into Bittensor (TAO)

Decentralized AI.. basically the exact same computing power & tokenomics of BTC but instead of the network being used to validate transactions it’s used to model, enhance & reward machine learning.

7 years in the making.. around $300m mc

I've played with that too. Sometimes it makes some cool stuff, sometimes it creates nightmares.
