BYU's guys were ready to play today. ND was going through the motions, and it cost them the game.

At the end of the day, it’s still football.

- The Ash portion. Not really sure how you weren’t prepared for the kitchen sink. Just not good enough. Ton of two high in the first half? Zero deep targets. Zero. Should have game planned it basically like Navy. Not sure who they prepared for. I really am not gonna sewer the man versus zone stuff. To play zone you gotta have a DL that gets pressure. DL didn’t, you’re not gonna beat anyone good getting zero pressure. You can’t dial up third down pressures when you’re constantly in third and short. The 2H defense was better on late downs because they were better on early downs. Bear also made some legit throws in 1H. Do I think Ash is some genius DC? Not really, but I mean win a rep one time defense in the 1H. And they didn’t. Haven’t given up on this being a very good D till I see Traore, 100% KVA, 100% Moore and Tae. That’s potentially 4 first rounders.

Why can we never just impose our will either? This defense has shown over and over again that they function better in man. What from fucking BYU of all teams made you feel the need to run a soft ass zone for a full half? Are we really concerned about their WRs burning the supposed best defensive backfield in the country? DO WHAT YOU DO BEST. Force them to prove that they can beat you not the opposite way around. And when it's fucking clear that they're moving the ball at will on your stupid ass fucking get out of it before halftime.

Ash is a stupid fuck and I'm glad I never bought into the fucking glazers gooning over wins over shit competiion. A fat QB wearing #47 is able to carve up your unit I don't require your services any longer.

Miami is an awful defensive team dealing with a ton of injuries, Denbrock and CJ will feast against them. Now, will we still lose because our defense apparently sucks suddenly? Definitely possible.

The last time I think ND definitively came out with more "fuck you" fire and emotion than the other team was Georgia 2024.

I remember UGA trying to run a long developing sweep play early in the game and Shuler absolutely blew it up, and then talked a lot of shit after. It was striking because of how ND is almost universally on the other side of that type of play to start the game.

So what I still don’t understand…BYU was hellbent on getting the ball out of Bachmeier’s hand immediately. Notre Dame flat out refused to press and jam to disrupt those timing routes. I don’t get it man lol

Just based on what I saw tonight and what I’ve seen of Miami, yeah I think BYU has a much better defense. Even against Clemson who is offensively inept, Miami gave up a ton of yards. Clemson just kept blowing it in the red zone
