Nolan James was cooking early. I don't understand why ND moved away from running the ball when they were so dominant early on.
That is the knock on Denbrock. What is our identity? He doesn't scheme he just calls plays and hope some work.

Walton gives you the lead and is fresh and then you just go fully away from him with all the momentum. He has 0 feel for the game but he is a reflection of the program.

Leave no doubt...serious doubt was left. Everyone made fun of Cig with his undaunted well he has a title something Freeman doesn't. Just win.

Tonight sucked. At least they were number 1 for thirty minutes.

The way some of you guys are reacting to a top 10 loss on the road is hilarious though. The sky is not falling. They played like shit, and the flukiest spike fumble is literally the difference. Things have to change, especially with the coordinators and how quick they are to implement adjustments. And guess what- Freeman has proven they usually do adjust and regroup once that loss hits. I don’t like that it takes a loss to get the team focused. But I’m not panicking until they have a repeat performance against Miami.
The issue is BYU looked like garbage to TT and unimpressive against other big 12 teams. There is no reason to think BYU all of a sudden became awesome. If the go on to show continued success, maybe this loss will look better one day.

Interesting and I respect you perspective but I actually think the seasons over. Legitimately over as far as national championship hopes

It's not, though.

BYU muffed a punt, threw a bad pick, and ran a HORRIBLE fake punt deep in their own territory. Take away those self-owns, and they win this game by 2 scores.

ND had no business being the game late. None. The fact that they blew it doesn't make it a moral victory because they should have never been in that position to begin with.

Yeah so confirmed there was a second left and we should've had another play. Nice job Big 12 replay booth.

Everyone was saying Michigan actually lost to WMU so I’m just gonna say this was no contest. It’s a joke that these officials can just fuck up something this important and face no consequences.

We were fucked by officials against A&M egregiously and this is arguably worse.

Miami fucking HATES Notre Dame; they'll play with emotion and fire, and I have no faith ND has anything in the tank to match that because they consistently fail to do so.
I think this is the most disappointing aspect of it all. I really thought Freeman would bring passion and fire to the program but we are still walking around out there like out of town salesmen at a business conference while our opponents are playing with their hair on fire.

Maybe Miami beats us, maybe they don't, but I do know they're gonna play with ill intentions while we're out there doing things The Right Way.

Take away the bad overthrow to Faison that’s a touchdown, the fumble spike and… do you hear how stupid your argument sounds?

I don’t think BYU is awesome, but it’s still a top 10 team (now top 5) on the road. Plenty of very good teams lost to inferior opponents today. It happens. I don’t give them a pass, but until a repeat performance against Miami occurs there’s no reason to jump ship yet

BYU is not a top 10 caliber team. We made them look like a top 10 team because we are also highly overrated

Anybody with an ounce of competitive spirit doesn't care one lick. ND lost because of their own ineptitude, incompetence and cowardice... The referees just closed the casket after ND dug it's own grave.

Last thing I have is a Freeman section. Because this seems like a Freeman down issue. The personnel rotation in big games is UNSERIOUS. And that is mainly a POSITION COACH decision. But the HC and OC and DC certainly play a role. This has been a thing since Freeman took over though. So it falls on him. I’m not talking play Premer type stuff. I’m talking small little subs. Random plays like Loghan Thomas in on a goal line play. Slot fades to James Flanigan. KVA sometimes but not first drive. Graham rotation. Zackery against Toney last year. Hobbs. Pauling/Greathouse stuff. They pile up. Freeman, Seider, Brown, Ash, Partridge, whoever FIGURE IT THE FUCK OUT because these one little plays add up in every single big game. That is how you go 0 - 3 in one score games last two years.

Nope. ND was outplayed from start to finish today. BYU tried giving it back in the third quarter.

Did ND leave some plays on the field? Yes. Would that have mattered if BYU didn't try to fart the game away? No.

I just can’t get that upset with Denbrock vs Ash when at the end of the day we ended up with 380 yards and left 6+ pts on the field (CJ fumble / spike and last drive). In a vacuum 30pts / 380 yards is a fine output against this defense, especially in a game with limited possessions. We assume this is a top 15 BYU defense and CJ was shitting his pants.

The defense on the other hand just has way too much talent be that incompetent / with guys just running free and us not getting pressure. we also know what many of these guys look like under golden’s defense in 2024. We know that team was less talented than this one, get the results from our 2024 run versus this speak for themselves.

I was looking forward to lighting this. Tonight isn’t the night, however.

Context matters. After last year this was NDs time to finally show the world they are wrong but all the build up to validate all the haters.

We’ll never know, and that’s the problem. Denbrock sucked tonight, but it should have been 1st and goal with a second left, and even Denbrock could possibly avoid tripping over his own dick from that down and distance.

CJ missed 3 TD's? What is this revisionist shit you're posting? At least talk about errors on sides

Question: if Carr is fumbling a ball around and intentionally pushes it forward and a defender catches it, is it an interception or fumble recovery?
