It’s an abortion of common sense.Jonaz Walton getting 5 carries is up there with J. love getting hardly any carries against Miami. Coaching malpractice
The drive after the Sanders INT should have been Walton. The argument for any other RB playing over him is pass protection and that was a situation where we were going to run and BYU knew we were going to run. Put in your best RB and ice the game. Also hate that we pulled OL on that play which allowed the LB to knife in and blow it up. Would like to see some zone blocking there and let the RB go to work.Jonaz Walton getting 5 carries is up there with J. love getting hardly any carries against Miami. Coaching malpractice
100% it isYou think the BYU defense is better than Miami?
Yeah if we play zone it will be brutal. If we play man and are aggressive, we can shut down that offenseIf you think that was bad, watch what the Miami offense does in the pass game. Malachi Toney is going to absolutely fucking shred us.

We got our shit kicked in and were lucky to be in a position to win it at the end.
I hope everyone on the teams sees that and doesn't let the final score trick them into thinking we only need a few small changes.
Yeah, you know the thing about fades is they work great when the defense hasn’t really seen it - you pull it out as a change up. We’d literally been throwing it all night, there was no change up there, almost zero chance it was going to work. Terrible play calling. The pick you are mentioning would have absolutely been there.I honestly thought we would run the Florida State play where we pick the guy and get an easy score
I am good with the James carries because he was doing great up the middle. They tried getting Jonas outside and it wasn’t there. His 3 touches up the middle were great 8 yards, 2 yard TD run and then 2 point conversion.Jonaz Walton getting 5 carries is up there with J. love getting hardly any carries against Miami. He is equally at fault. This team came like they were play NIU and got the same result. EmbarrassedThis is so painful. I'm sure we all want answers but assume there will be none. Freeman might be flipping out on his assistants demanding change or he might just think everything is acceptable. The next 3 weeks before the Miami game are gonna suck
Also, what is this concussion bs? Sadly, I've had concussions in high school games. However unfortunate as they are, I dont think I was all of a sudden unable to do basic shit 2 weeks later. Maybe I'm showing my ignorance, but I find it hard to believe a concussion is why Moore looked like he did.I slept on it...even more pissed.
HC- still down with MFMF but he needs to make wholesale changes and not let Tressel pick the guy
Coaches can stay:
RB, DL, LB
Coaches who need a different job:
- Denbrock does not scheme well, his play calling is shit. Also TE U?...why we suck at that position the last few years
-Rudolph..OL U? I've been calling for change since the beginning of the year. We waste so much time in fall camp with different combos that it takes 5 games to get any unit cohesion. Also, end of the game, BYU has 3 on the line and then blitz the LB and Knaap just let's him in like nothing
-Guidugli, been asking for a change for a couple of years. No QB development in any year. Also... you're "elite" QB doesn't know how to spike the ball?
-Brown, we have zero go get it WRs, why? How do we have all these recruits and they are this unprepared to play at this level.
-Ash...last night I wasn't sure if was I down on him. After hearing yet again that another team ran something "that wasn't on tape"... we are not prepared well. And he cannot make on field adjustments. Why do we suck so much at zone?
-Henry, not sure yet. I'm not sure Leonard is on him. LM either came back too early from his concussion or he's getting exposed a bit. Schuler last couple of games, he has to be hurt. He's not played like himself. I think the rest of the DBs are playing well.
-Mike Martin, complete whiff on WR in the portal. No more paying for upside. Production or no. MF job is to get potential through recruiting. Portal money should only be spent on those who produced.
MFMF needs to have a heart to heart with some of his players. How did he allow his team to lose their edge. Sometimes you lose because of a call here or there or missed play here or there...but for an opponent to out heart you, inexcusable. Disgusting really. He has gone soft on that team. People either start "diving for loose balls" or next man in.
Agreed but I thought ND had enough depth ro compensate. All we heard was how deep and dominating the DL is going to be this year. Not just from ND media, but national media. I remember ND beat talking about BYUs true freshman RT being an area that could be exposed. That’s who Traore beat off the edge in his final play. Looked like they went with Logan Thomas next and the times I focued on him, that freshman RT just swallowed him up. Maybe that’s when they went to Keeley? The moment Traore took his dumbass targeting put the entire team behind the 8 ball right from the start
I tend to agree. I’ve never seen him tackle so poorly leading me to wonder if he has a shoulder issue. Also, what is this concussion bs? Sadly, I've had concussions in high school games. Most of the time you’re right, but I’ve had players get concussed on what seems like the most innocent play and they’re not the same for months. I had one kid in basketball smack his head into a wall and he ended up with Post Concussion Syndrome and he literally had to go on Homebound in school because the lights and screens made him physically ill. He’s still not able to play sports. Also, what is this concussion bs? Sadly, I've had concussions in high school games. OK fair enough. Guess I was showing my ignorance after all. Most of the time you’re right, but I’ve had players get concussed on what seems like the most innocent play and they’re not the same for months. The brain and its response to trauma is incredibly complex and differs with each individual and each individual experience.
I think if we rest Moore again last night, we probably end up winning. He was that off.
Agreed. He’s regressed a ton.Shuler is either hurt, or I had forgotten his father passed.
But I don’t see an Aaron Henry issue, at all.
